    O/T:- Holidays

Whilst we wait for the season to start (god it's going slowly) let's hear about your holidays.

    1. Where's your best UK holiday destination and why?

    2. European holiday?

    3. Long haul?

Uk Holiday destination there are so many good ones we have had, but I am going to go with the Dorset coast between Portland and Seaton. some great campsites, good beaches, places to visit, fossil hunting (who wouldn't like to find a decent fossil).

European Holiday was so much easier, while plenty of contenders, my vote has to go to Sardinia, in particular the quieter east coast. smaller resorts, great beaches, water taxis, good restaurants on the waters edge, brilliant to relax. we went to Cala Ganone.

long hall was no competition, South Africa, it is a massive country with lots to do for everyone. Our holiday started in Cape Town which is fantastic with loads to do itself, from there we went to Kosi Bay up towards the mozambique border, down to Sodwana Bay, inland a little to a game reserve, then onto Rorkes Drift, ending up at The Cavern resort in the Drakensburg.

That should be Cala Gonone in Sardinia.

    1. Edinburgh during the festival - beautiful city and so much to see and do.

    2. Pretty much anywhere I’ve ever been in France - from Dinard, Lille and Paris to Cannes, Montpellier and the surrounding countryside in the south.

    3. Costa Rica - amazing cloud forests, active volcanoes and stunning beaches with monkeys in the wild.

    1. Cornwall for scenery or Wales for the castles

    2. Used to be Cyprus but would now say Sorrento Italy (easy access to Pompeii and Herculaneum)

    3. Not really done long haul, best I can go for is Egypt in 1990 whilst the build up was going on for the 1st Iraq war. Fascinating country and tourism was about 80% down so you could get to see everything easily

    1. Devon and Cornwall - Devon for it's rolling hills and green countryside and quaint villages. Cornwall for the cliff top walks, panoramic views of the sea and coastline, and small rocky coves.

    2. Croatia - Views of the hundreds of islands with all the blue and turquoise shades of the Adriatic as you fly in. Bol on the island of Brac is a particular favourite place, for its rocky coves and beaches, with cool crystal clear water, perfect for a spot of skinny dipping, and the passion of the people there in general, for their country.

    3. Canada - The Rockies, Whistler, Vancouver, Whale watching from Victoria Island.
