I truly believe Tony Stewart is fully funding Matt Taylor. Surely some if not most Millers recently read on here that TS is now in it til, his end of time or as he said his tenure.
Yes we'll have our ibs' views bless him that Big Tony is not forthcoming but, I for one believe Tony knows in laymen's terms it's s.hit or bust this time around and he's putting his money where his mouth is. Yes, things don't look progressive and the season start looms further close but, let's see what pans out.
I for one expect a total backlash if nothing comes off. I could add to this but will refrain for now. Goodnight all.
I think that is a good post Brin. The problem is the amount of players this squad needs to stand a chance, we are not talking about a couple of players here. With 9 subs the squad needs some depth and so I think at least 6 players are needed to give us a chance, 6 players in 2 weeks won't happen so we are not starting the season with our best squad available, add to that other teams can still come and buy our players. I think the club is trying to do the right thing but we are not in a good place at the moment. letting Kioso go out at this time was silly, that could have been done in a months time as it was only a loan. It is decisions like that, which make people question TS intentions, because it could be seen as we have to send players out before anyone comes in. I hope they have some luck in the next 7 days because we are going to need it.
DM, add to that with the question of, is Matt Taylor being too ambitious targeting the wrong players who may not become available? Yes, it's all conspiracy and guess work and they say no news is good news, well not in this case.
Two weeks to kick off, we've let three players go and this was after Taylor had already announced at the end of the season he required 6 players to fill the squad/positions so, does that now mean he needs 9?
Yes possibly particularly with the potential loans and players we’ve made transfer fee offers on. Some of these may have no interest whatsoever in playing for Rufc
With the free agents it,s more a game of cat a mouse at the moment. If they can’t get fixed up elsewhere we might bag a few really good ones on sensible wages. Here’s hoping
Unfortunately we are a very unfashionable club so it,s not just about offering competitive wages when we want a player to join us.
That coupled with relegation favourites every season it must be a monumental task to persuade new recruits to come to the nys
