    Henderson the hypocrite

So the champion of the LGBTQWERTYXYZ+ cause in football has gone for the money move to Saudi.
Sold his ‘beliefs’ for 700k per week.

One thing I’ve learnt in my life; it’s what you do, not what you say, that counts.

Aye - his morals disappeared as soon as Stevie G started flashing cash at him.

Be interesting to see how it is spun.

The way I look at is that the organisation he supports has benefitted massively from his support through exposure due to his profile.
Him going for the money in Saudi doesn't change that. Is he a hypocrite dunno, any of us who would move to a new company for 1000 percent salary increase.

I dislike the guy for being a Mackem, I dislike the guy for the disrespect he has shown Newcastle city, my team and the geordie nation.

Regardless if he supports the mental ill who think they are born in the wrong body, F him and all his kin, blood line and friends for all the reasons mentioned above.

    Yes he is haha.

Money and human nature talks don't forget it. Morals cost money.

Muppet for taking the high ground it in the first place.

This nation is trying to evolve and we should support and not kick them. Maybe Jordon sees this.

more likely Jordon is looking after number 1 and in reality couldn't give 2 ****s about gay rights, trans rights, racism etc

i read an article today from a pro footballer saying they are only going there for the cash!! OBVIOUSLY!

I refuse to believe Jordan Henderson has any genuine thoughts on any stereotypes because he is a footballer who lives in a different world to normal people, he calls his colleagues "bro" and "blood"

****ing morons most of them, Him coming from where he does narrows the chances down to virtually zero that he is an exception from the norm

I think he's made a rod for his own back by being so vocal about his support for the LGBTQ community.

It does make him a hypocrite, I don't think there's any denying that. But do I blame him for going? No-his personal battle between his principles and his bank balance has shown how strongly held those principlies are but, again, that's not a criticism, merely an observation. He's already rich beyond the dreams of most of us but more money has won out over his principles.

On a side note, Raga, I dont think your comment about trans folk being mentally ill is fair at all. Without getting into a big debate, it basically comes down to who we are-are we defined by the body we have or by the 'person' we are-and I don't just mean who we think we are. The traditional definition of gender is too narrow and based totally on the whole 'if you have a dick, yoou're a man' notion.

And yeah, i know a lot of people-maybe most people- would stop reading right there and think 'yep, that's the way it is' and I was definitely in that camp....

...right up until a member of my family came out as trans. I've done a lot of research, a lot of thinking and a lot of soul-searching to try to understand and I've done a complete 180 in my thinking. in my experience, trans people aren't mentally ill at all (albeit having a body that doesn't fit with who you feel you are can certainly drive someone to be that way).

I'm definitely not trying to preach or have a go and everyone has their own opinion but it's absolutely not a black and white situation (which, as I say, I thought it was until I had cause to challenge my own thinking).

Not this again. The season hasn't even started yet, man.

It's happened to all of us at one time or another. When I think the site is playing up, I make sure I copy any lengthy post just in case.

Have to agree. I'm sick of being lectured by sportsman and sports women about bloody virtue signalling causes. In Australia, all I hear about every bloody day, is climate change, LGBTQTV and acknowledging the original land-owners (even though we have given the 3% of our population 45% of the country back to them worth 48 TRILLION DOLLARS).
