But let's look at the available information. Over 2 weeks ago on 23 July Matt Taylor said “It's now with the Home Office”

The Home Office doesn't handle the football paperwork, they do the work permit stuff.

Since he is French, an EU state, he wouldn't have needed any work permit before Brexit.

So, now you have access to this information, are you willing to consider that Brexit might be the reason?

It’s not Brexit as such though is it
It’s because this government hasn’t been able to manage the transition adequately and that was always going to be the case for a year or two.
Their management of many things , not just leaving the EU, seems to be a challenge for them in recent times and they don’t seem to be improving

No, it's literally because of Brexit.

If anyone was dumb enough to think the government was going to handle it better than they have then that was their own dumb fault.

So how does this fast track work permit system operate ? Hope our possible reluctance to pay for this is not going to scupper the transfer. Getting embarassing now. Can't imagine MT is too thrilled.

Maybe the govt has put half decent measures in place but the civil servants are overworked, understaffed or many are on leave as it’s the holiday season. A lack of funding due to the pandemic perhaps
They also have a lot to deal with considering the crises around the world and this issue isn’t deemed a priority

There’s another few reasons what this has nothing to do with a decision to leave the EU

Sorry, you seem to completely misunderstand the issue.

Without Brexit there would be no need for a work permit. Period. It wouldn't make a difference if every single civil servant in the country was on holiday, that wouldn't have stopped him playing on Saturday.

Isn’t it a points system? The higher up the leagues you have played give you more points and an easier passage.

Just donate a huge heft of cash to the ruling party, give your address as Tufton Street or pay for Braverman's next individual driver awareness training - sorted!
