    Good luck to the ladies

I know not everyone on here is a fan of ladies football (you know who you are) but I wish the ladies success today.

It is a pity that, whilst the Queen of Spain could get off her pampered backside to go to Oz, none of our lot could be arsed despite their expressed support for women etc. Apparently, Prince William (an ardent Villain) couldn’t go due to protocol. What a load of *******s.

Speaking of which, the female commentators really get on my wick. It is a “beautiful” save or a “lovely” catch. They also throw in terms like “transitions” being important. One referred to “great technical passing”. Anyone able to explain to me what “non-technical” passing is like?

Notwithstanding, good luck to the ladies.

Sadly, we never really got into the game because Spain pressed us hard and we persisted in trying to run the ball through them, as happened with their goal.
We were far too slow in our build up and Spain were quick both in thought and action.
Well done for having got to the final and for winning the European Championship, however, well done to Spain, worthy World Champions.

Sad to see another joke penalty given, with the ball brushing someone's fingertips and clearly no intent. Despite the fact that Earps saved the pen I lost interest at that point, I just can't see the point of spending my time watching a game that may be decided on a whim.

I am glad it's all over, can we get back to some sort of normality now. Well done to the lassies and all that, but the standard, by and large, was not great and the media hype and hysteria was way over the top.

They rode their luck which got them to the final, that and having a good keeper, but were then totally outclassed. The pen was ridiculous but Spain should have scored a lot more with the chances they created. A lot of the players were caught in possession, it was just unlucky for Bronze that hers led to the Spain goal. Given the improvements in other countries I can't see our ladies getting to a final again.

You sound like my wife Swiss, she says I'm too negative, I just think I'm being a realist and would be very happy to be proven wrong. On a brighter note I think we will survive in the Prem this season.

Years at St Thed’s will do that to you, mon ami.

We should swap. My wife claims she is being a realist and that I am too optimistic. Open to negotiations!
