    Eng v Oz "friendly"

I know he's experimenting but it still looks like the same old cautious approach we always have. Oz by far the better attacking team, it should be 2-1 to G'day Sportsmen.

Piss poor from England, Watkins has missed two sitters and that's it from us, the convicts could easily be winning.

Since we scored and he sent on some of his big hitters we've gone worse.

Another turgid display, never lets the handbrake off does he our Gareth. Henderson as captain just about sums him up.

Why on Earth are you all complaining you ungrateful sods? It is another win for Gareth. I don’t think he’s lost a game since the World Cup and he’s saved Harry and most of the other “big guns” for the crunch game with Italy on Tuesday.

Henderson WTF? Southgate is a lunatic. We need to get shut ASAP.

Gareth Southgate (11 Sept) said it would be "ridiculous" for England to rotate heavily against Scotland and defended the team from the "never-ending" cycle of scrutiny which continued following their draw with Ukraine. We did not rotate v Scotland as they presumably offered a greater challenge than Australia against whom he made wholesale changes. I am not necessarily criticising that but Henderson has scuttled off to the KSA and presumably was named captain because he was one of the few with more than a handful of caps. Henderson should not imo be in the squad but he is not the only one. We will need to find more gears than neutral and reverse against Italy.

Waste of a cap Sir Outwood was Henderson. Diabolical selection.

He’s playing in a Mickey Mouse league for exorbitant money hardly top of his game is it , mind you McGuire barely plays at all and still starts in front off many that do.

As we’ve covered many times imo anyway that must make all the centre backs who think they have a chance demoralised, and- or our standard of centre backs in Gareth’s opinion just isn’t up to a standard to play in front of a man who can’t get picked for his own club.

It breeds contempt imo anyway from players outside the set up.
