The service was no better/no worse than during the Coventry game. But Hugill adopted a different approach today. Rather than trying to win the ball cleanly, he chose to become involved in a physical battle in which he came a distant second imo.

    No one!

    Thats my point.

It looks like one up top because Hugill is so isolated.

He played Green / Appiah so wide on the front they went missing frequentky. I think the idea was to use Bramall and whoever was left sided to overload, then play into Hugill or cut inside.

Same on the right with Fred and Dexter.

    Hasn't worked.

Yet he continues to play this formation and set the team up that way.

Given the balls played to Hugill I can only see the intention is for him to win fouls and flick ons..... Yet he's been his best when he's had the ball down to his feet and had space.

It's madness at a tactical level that we didn't see under Warne.

Against Saints he made the chance and got Revan on and balanced the team better. He did the same at Coventry at 1-0 and we looked so much better....he said it himself. Then he ignores his own findings and goes back to type.

    Mental.

Carry on like it's working that's one theory or change how we play or get a manager who can change it! I'm for the latter.

Today no width play with wing backs with players we've got only way to give us some:

    Victor

3 from Peltier Odoffin Ayala Bramall

    Dext Cafu Tiehi Rathbone Revan

    Nombe Hugill

Come January can see Revan who shows some promise being taken back to get more game time elsewhere. Bringing Eaves on today crazy! no reasoning behind it.

There is another explanation for the stubborn refusal to changed a system that had clearly failed:

Taylor knows exactly what he is doing and wants to get sacked.

ibs, food for thought and not as daft as it sounds but I thing he is more proud than that and will be working as hard as he can but he's so stubborn with his ways. Thing is gone are the days of a full contract pay off. Modern days see only a years contract being paid not the whole contract so they can walk away with mega bucks for being a failure.

One thing is for sure, he's getting more out of his depth with his formations or should I say his one and only formation.

MT is tactically inept and his team selection / formation is mental. I will not go to a game again while ever this muppet is in charge. Our goal scorer and best player are not usually involved .. get a grip u massive bell

    I was just stating facts.
The reality is Warne was more likeable so got cut more slack.
Performances, tactics results at times awful so what’s the difference?
I think some of our fan base have become like the wendies.
Pocket. As fans we felt part of the club under Warney. The way he made the club part of the community will never be repeated.

The turnaround in 12 months is catastrophic for the club on many levels.

Brin robins has spent big money this season and he's struggling to get Coventry firing. What makes you think he could keep us up or be good for rufc?

I would say the service was poorer than the Coventry game, personally. And the other big difference was the centre backs. The Cov defenders were shorter than the QPR ones, from that I don't think Hugill felt quite so much of a battle, physically. He wants to feel bigger defenders because he needs to be cuter to win the ball, than against someone who doesn't have that aerial superiority. IMO.

Don't get me wrong, against Coventry he was far more effective, fantastic all round. But I wouldn't lay much of the blame today at his door. The service and support was crap.

But that's just my opinion. You may be right.
