Thread: It is possible Eddie Howe....

    It is possible Eddie Howe....

Asked Bruno to get a yellow card in that game against A rsenal

He now misses the game against Bournemouth instead of getting booked next game and missing Chelsea..

Possibly sheds a little light on him being overly aggressive

Think that assault by Havertz sent him over the edge. The ref needs to share a lot of the blame for what went on afterwards. Failing to punish that appalling, well, I can't call it a tackle created the raging sense of injustice that I think led to a lot of what went on with Bruno. What made it worse was him booking 3 of our players for complaining-exactly the same sanction as the little sh.ite who started it all.

Even respected journos are saying it was only a yellow because he only caught him with his trailing leg. Should that matter? He was wildly out of control and, at the very kindest, reckless. It was only pure luck that he didn't catch Long staff properly and that would have been a season-ending injury.

And his face afterwards... couldn't give a sh!t.

To my mind it should have been a straight red. If Bruno had been in a slightly different position he would have had a broken leg.

If the ref had, correctly, sent Havertz off there could have been no complaints and the situation would have been defused and the rest of the game less "dirty"

I've seen the theory about him doing it deliberately but I don't think so really.

I agree with Zip that Bruno lost it after the challenge on Longstaff.

I think Bruno really buys into the team and he lost it at the unfairness of the situation.

The tackle was on Longstaff though Bill 😉

Think Bruno just lost his head after the reaction of the referee to the Havertz tackle, and that possibly missing Bournemouth instead of Chelsea or Man Utd (next league fixture after Chelsea) is a lucky benefit… though the way he just ran up to Jorginho and raked his elbow on his head (was NOT a forearm or elbow smash) was very strange as it was in passing more than anything… so think it looks odd but there are safer ways to get a yellow… kick a ball away near the end of the game etc, rather than with some time left and risking getting a straight red for violent conduct and missing Bournemouth, Chelsea and Man Utd
