    Connor Townsand deserves some praise

What a pass to Jed Wallace for the 2nd goal and some may have missed when Ipswich was on a break , Connor pulled the ball out of the air majestically to relieve the danger then laid it off.

    Agree with you!
I know he has been guilty sometimes of making sloppy errors defensively but he is one of those players who always seems to want to drive the team forward and I've always liked him for that.

Like others, he has improved under Corberan and is frequently involved in the build up to goals as well as making some important defensive interceptions and his selection as stand in captain obviously shows Corberan's regard for him. He did get caught out a few times by the ball over the top last night but defensively Carlos has got them covering each other a lot better now as a clean sheet against Ipswich shows. Over-all, thought he had a good game within a great team perfirmance.

I’m pleased he had a decent game which, alongside the captaincy band, will have improved his confidence. He is suspect to some poor positional play which has been costly for the team, but as Omeg comments, the defence seem to cover these errors. Clearly there is now competition for positions.

No team has any player that doesn’t make mistakes. That includes Man city and the like.

Whilst I totally agree Boingy, but players at teams like Man City have a higher quality of player who make less mistakes.
Townsend is limited, makes costly errors and what astounds me is he seems to never learn, however yesterday he had one of his best games even though he was rescued a couple of times by Kipre, a little more consistency wouldn’t go amiss

I’m sure he’s working on it bomber. I think out of all the players Mulumby probably struggles the most as he only has one way of playing and as much as I like him and appreciate his value I think he is more impulsive rather than a learner. Townsend has improved a lot of his game so I think he will continue doing so. Just my opinion of course.

Nice take down and through ball but the less said about his positioning and lack of overlaps yesterday the better. 6/10.

Thought he improved in the 2nd half as they clearly targeted him as the weak link 1st half, if we play with a flat back 4 he is better suited than Pieters, can't wait until Reach is fit again
