Thread: O/T:- Swansea

Agree Durham. We rarely looked likely to keep a clean sheet even if our goals against tally for the season was ok. Who can forget the goals we conceded at Wrexham, the type of which have been typical of almost every game this season

Do you never watch MOTD? Unbelievable Jeff the way some top defenders and goalkeepers get into a tangle, or a mid-fielder loses possession, misplaces a pass, when everyone is expecting the ball to go forward. I have vivid memories of Bobby Moore v Poland in the World Cup.

What we don't know is how hard nosed they will be if a head coach isn't meeting his targets; I suspect that rather than throw a hissy fit they will try and sort out what the issues are first and then as a last resort pull the plug. Fortunately, other than not retaining Ardley, we've yet to face that situation.
    Correct..

Aside from the ridiculous pronouncement about what constitutes a ‘true’ Notts fan, it is possible to hold the two thoughts in your head of remembering what he did at Notts AND not wanting him to do too well at Swansea.

I quite enjoyed a Williams team getting rinsed in the first half in a way that a few teams have done to us this season but I also enjoyed them making a bit of a go of it in the second half. I’m guessing I won’t give a monkeys either way in a few weeks.

I remember the 100 plus points that is ALL that matters.

Maybe he fails at Swansea but I dont support Swansea so does it matter.

Our best manager/coach last 15-20 imo so deserves respect.

Some absolute whoppers on here today and its clear they ALL rate him otherwise why put a topic on about Swansea ? Did people do this for Fullarton no why ? Cos he was sh*t

Why are certain posters childish - because they dont agree with you ?

What was the manner in which we conceded that made it such a problem?

Could be lucky to last this, never mind 18 months. There is a big problem between the Owners & fans. Many wanting them out. Hedge funds will want a return on their investment pretty quick, to try to get the fans back on their side. He loses 5 or so games out of 9. immense pressure will be on all round.
What gripes me is the fact he knew where Nottm was when he took the job, his partner had the business, he had kids, so why take the job?
What does he do when he leaves Swansea, not too many clubs around that area. I wouldn't be looking to employ him for my business knowing he could bolt as soon as a job nearer home became available.
Got to admit I had a big grin when I saw yesterdays result & the previous week when Brum scored in the 90th min.
