Only three games were played this weekend due to the weather and all were close affairs (Leicester should've really put Ipswich away and Forest were arguably unlucky to take nothing away from Brentford).
With only 18 points available, nine points was all that was needed to make it onto the weekly Leader Board. CalverleyBoy's (xEO) latest strategy came up trumps again and Ozwhites (xEO) collected his points via essentially the same route. As suggested elsewhere, I may have to start editing entries if this worryingly effective "Calverley doing well" trend continues.
Most everyone else scored six points. Well done to Belper (xEx), Chezzer (OxO), Hopey (OxO), MORRIM (OxO), Tichi (OxO), Ubique (OxO) and Stompy (OxO). Johnny_Default joined in the six-pack fun using blanket 99-99 score draw predictions. Not entirely unlike Calverley?
Dalek's lead over Chezzer has been slightly trimmed back to 21 points. Totty is third, three points behind Chez.
No striking to report. Unless junior doctors and railwaymen count?
There were two draws, so Johnny_Default is up to 72 points. Had there been any, Strike One, Strike Two or Strike Three posters would've scored six, four or two for their lack of effort
The results
(PL) Brentford v Forest (3-2)
(C) Leicester v Ipswich (1-1)
(L1) Exeter v Cambridge (0-0)
(L2) AFC Wimbledon v Crawley (P-P)
The next fixtures are out as a separate thread.
All the best! Stay safe!![]()
