Decent first interview, still finding out which doors open to which rooms. He seems switched on & confident well aware of his tasks.
Just one thing though he looks a little pastey, think he could do with getting outdoors soaking up some good old Nottm weather.
Hope we get a good start on Saturday.

He’s certainly right about our defenders getting left on 1v1s, it happens too often.

The ideal would be having defenders who win those 1-on-1s.
But yes, I wouldn't mind seeing a run of games where we don't have those 3 on 3s, 4 on 3s we've seen so often...
Is Robertson the sort of player who can drop in and hold that deep position? (JB struggles, we've seen him and JJ for example concede pens, not from want of trying or being there, but because last-ditch covering and tackling isn't their thing).

If we avoid the overloads by withdrawing JJ and AN to a much deeper average positions, that will tell us he wants different players there. Those two need to give us their best defensively, but I hope SM doesn't go that way.

I suspect he won't want to change the line up too much for his first match.
Probably the same team as Grimsby but Warner coming in as RCB.

Hope he drops the "as a management team" phrase, "we" will do Stu!

I shuddered when he said he’s moved away from his family.
He might not be able to resist if Arsenal come in for him in 18 months time!

I have to say I was under the impression that when it was stated he was moving to Nottingham I assumed "the family". So what was Luke doing? Commuting from Newport daily?

Or maybe he's moved to temporary accommodation until end of term/school year/find suitable house. mmm.

He said on his first interview that "we (the management team ) were looking around at areas to live in so probably something for the near future.
