Ryley Reynolds signs first professional contract

Young midfielder Ryley Reynolds has signed his first professional contract with the club.

The 18-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal, much to the delight of academy manager Dan Leivers.

He said: “Ryley has been a mainstay in the B Team for two years and has probably been our most consistent player across that time, contributing goals and assists from midfield.

“He’s incredibly hard-working and a very technical player who does the simple things, as well as the special things, really well.

“Everyone in the academy is really happy to see Ryley have his incredible efforts rewarded and we really appreciate the club giving him this opportunity.

“Ryley is a product of our relationship with Nottingham College, which highlights the innovative pathways we’re creating to help players make it as professional footballers.”

Great to see one of the young lads making it through to 1st team squad. Be even more rewarding to see him or others actually make the team.

Minus Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man City and maybe one or two others, I’d argue every club is a selling club due to the disparity between rich and poor in football

Ryley played very well at Alfreton last night , good technical ability , awareness , mobility and worked very hard.
With those attributes he has every chance of a decent career.
