Wisely Boris ignored the tw@t for a second time and ended the restrictions, Covid didn't rip and no one died as a result.

Of course it was only in England that restrictions were ended, the Lefty Loons running Wales and Scotland kept the restrictions on, but if you check the stats six months later there is virtually no difference in the number of cases in any of the three countries, which clearly shows that the restrictions made no difference whatsoever, although you won't find this information mentioned in the MSM, nor will Starmer mention it when the next 'pandemic' arrives, probably Avian Flu, sometime this autumn or winter.
Starmer & Johnson should be on the stage mon ami. What a pfhucking comedy duo.

The Labour U Turns are coming already, Winter Fuel Payments being scrapped unless you're on benefits. Recently Labour demanded the Tories didn't scrap them, pensioners shouldn't have to pay for the Tories incompetence they said, Reeves herself said they wouldn't be scrapped, but now Labour are scrapping them when fuel costs are at an all time high. Strangely this news is hard to find in the Grauniad, one little piece hidden away says they are being scrapped for 'some pensioners', those 'some pensioners' number ten million.

Old folk thrown under the bus by Labour, who's next ?

Well Labour already plan to build on green belt - don’t be fooled by their we are only using brownfield or “grey belt” land. They are not- see for example the Places 4 Everyone Plan for Greater Manchester. Goodbye Tony Bliar. Hello Sir Keir Harmer. It didn’t take long as you point out sinkov. They can promise change but beware it is not a change for the worse.

Never mind guys, by cutting the benefits for pensioners they will be able to increase the expenses paid to MPs and possibly increase the daily attendance fee for those in the House of Lords.
We are easy game for Labour's exploits but it will never be them that has done things. We shall be inundated with the £22 million black hole for the whole term of this Labour governement. Even the Gawthorpe black hole doesn't cost that much.

Pensioners who need the money will receive the winter payments. People who can afford to go on cruises to escape the winter hiatus won't. Seems more than fair to me.

"Pensioners to lose £1,260 a year under Labour"

Feck 'em the miserable old gits, let 'em freeze, we need the money from somewhere to pay for illegals, the feckless and the workshy, let's take it off the mugs that's worked hard all their lives and saved for their old age.

Didn't take long for them to break their promises did it. Tory and Labour, two cheeks of the same arse.

We have about 10 million pensioners in this country mon ami, let's get real only about 20% of that number really NEED that winter fuel allowance (WFA) and they will get it.

Serious savers like thee & me that have looked after our shekels only use the WFA to stock up on Malt Whiskey. We will survive, if you can't I'll get the missus to knit you a cardy.

Reeves will sort out the Tory debacle and no mistake. Benefit fraudsters and non-contributors are next for the chop and I'm loving it.

People who can afford to go on cruises were giving it to service charities anyway because Veterans do not get the help that they should, in fact, they are persecuted more often than not whilst lots of criminals are free to roam around this earth because of a certain 'Peace Agreement' that a certain Labour Prime Minister regularly boasts about along with his quest to make Britain a multicultural society by opening the doors to anyone who could pay to get on a dinghy to get here.

You have also ignored the number of pensioners who have had to return to work just to make ends meet and for whom the payment was becoming more of a necessity because they do not qualify for Pension Credit. They found work and are now paying tax to help fund the payment of winter payments to others as well as funding pay rises for millions in the public sector.
The claim was that 'We will not do anything to affect the working class' ---they forgot to add -----'unless they are pensioners who have had to return to work to afford things'
I first voted in March 1966, came from a very socialist family, however, any belief I had in politics disappeared many years ago thanks to the self-interest of too many politicians. This self-interest will continue no matter who rules the roost.
Twenty four days ago we were being promised 'Utopia' now we are seeing 50 more immigrants arriving each day than up to the end of June because they obviously believe that they will be well looked after when Labour process them within days of arrival.

Lies and more lies and all believed by the gullible.

Actually mon ami, I agree with you, I don't need it, you don't need it, ffs even millionaires were getting it, it is/was lunacy, but that's not the point. Just a few months ago Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasurer, Darren Jones MP wrote on behalf of pensioners to the Chancellor,

"The Paymaster General has suggested stripping some older people of the Winter Fuel Payment. I’ve written to the Chancellor asking him to clarify whether he is considering this for the Autumn Statement. Pensioners mustn’t be forced to bear the brunt of Tory economic failure."

So all those pensioners who voted Labour thinking they would not be asked to bear the brunt of Tory economic failure now find they are, they've been conned by a set of lying ****s. Still I've no sympathy for them, if you're dumb enough to vote Labour you're asking for all you get.

But what else have they been lying about, what's the next promise thrown onto the bonfire ?

I suppose when the lovely Ms Reeves opened Pandora's box and discovered a great source of unexpected troubles she had to react. She has and I applaud her for it.
