It's been mentioned before, but it says in the P&J that he is willing to give some of the outcast players a chance in "pre-season" (they mean the group stage of the League Cup).

I welcome that. A lot of people wrote off Dante Polvara, but he came good for us last season, so it's only fair that the likes of Pape and Besuijen get a fair crack of the whip.

    Me also.

I remember toonsers girning (no change there) about Gordon Strachan during his time under McNeill, and Martin Buchan being given a hard time by the crowd as he was trying to make his mark in different positions.

And Shankland…nah, scrub that - he was just a lazy, unfit fücker with attitude issues who treated the club like sħite, the slopey-foreheidit dick.

That will also include Morris, unfortunately.

If he turns any of the also-rans into players then they may have finally found a manager with some talent.

One look at him will be all Jimmy T needs.

I'm not one for having a pop at players without a fair chance, but two seasons we've had shaymo and very little to suggest he is going to make it in his third season.

Richardson looked a poor footballer when we saw him, albeit he was lining up with Anthony Stewart which helped nobody.
He was loaned out to a high flying Stockport and played little in a team that was flying. He then went to Colchester who were battling relegation to the conference and finished the season on the bench making very brief cameos.

Gueye I am more than willing to see what he can do and we know Vinnie is a decent player, but is he going to be able to play Thelinball?

Of course there are plenty of examples of players who take time to settle into the club, but we have also had players who hang around the club like a bad smell and offer little.
I'm feel in the case of Morris and Richardson we should just cut our losses and move on.

Maybe it’s something others do and I’ve just not heard about it but impressed with how he’s handling Polvaras lay off.
Integrating him slightly into the coaching side so he feels involved with the first team and has a role as our set piece guru.

Gut feeling Polvara is pretty switched on. I expect fancy dan variations stat.

He still has plenty time to get more players in which we will desperately need. Ambrose looks like he won’t score a lot of goals based on what I have seen of him so far. Doohan looks more accomplished than the keeper we signed from St.Johnstone.
It’s early yet though and still plenty time to improve on performances.
Another clean sheet under Jimmy Thelin.
You can only beat what is put out in front of you and we looked like a team who should be able to step up a few gears as East Kilbride were never going to get anything from that match.

The manager says in his press conference that he's looking forward to his first game as manager at the Cathedral of Football tomorrow night.

I've had an email from Jimmy himself thanking me for being a Top Red DNA member.

That was good of him. None of the previous half-dozen managers ever bothered to email me.
