Time for Guehi (and his agent) to start pressuring (if he wants the move).

I honestly wouldn't be upset if we signed another player at this stage. If he really wanted the move it would have happened by now. I'd bet my bolllock he really wants to go to one of the cartel and Palace want a bidding war. I'd move on out of principle now

TBH we don't know more than what as been said.

Parish's comment at the end of the interview was telling when he was asked if Guehi was gonna be with them in sept.

He didn't come out and say absolutely. Very confident through out the rest of the interview but stumbled, looked away, wouldn't make eye contact and didn't answer the quest at all.

It's not over til it's over.

    4th bid rejected.

We need to walk away now. I don't blame Palace-he's very good, is their player and they want to get as much for him as they can, not least because they have to give Chelsea 20%-but there are 2 weeks of the window left and we need a CB now.

Let's not beat around the bush, in terms of incomings, this window has been piss poor.

Ridiculous. I dont blame Palace, they can demand whatever they want, but hes not worth £70mil+

Looking at PL stats, Botman is better than Guehi in all the parameteres.

One good season with Palace and a decent string of games with England is fine, but hes still behind the likes of Botman when you look at the stats.

Paying £70mil for that dont make sense, considering we paid £40-45 for Botman.

Time to move on and go after someone like Diomande in stead. Hes got even higher potential, if reports are true.

Time to call and end to negotiations.

Thiaw was linked earlier, worth around 25m, if we could pay 65m for Guehi then it would leave a good chunk for a RW.

Spending all our money on one player, when we still need more depth, is nuts. He’s be a great signing, but it’s flogging a dead horse, or leaving us in a position where we’d probably have to sell to meet PSR by next June… and that would have all the Bruno, Isak, Gordon rumours flying around all season and we don’t need that distraction.

The other problem is that, with only two weeks left, other clubs will up their price-and quite understandably so-they'll know we're desperate, for one, but the selling club will also have to replace a player with limited time left.

    We're a bit screwed, I reckon.

This deal doesnt look like NUFC of past two years.
I dont know how reliable rumours were before, but if we were indeed linked with Soboslaiyi (sp?), Barella, Mamardashvilli etc it always was we either close the deal in a week or so or move on.
This one drags forever. I dont know if it is because of nee DoF, whether he has or no some stop lists of Monaco targets he cant go. Or is it because Ashworth leaked our previous targets. I dont know

The optics aren't good, whatever the reason.
