Very dissapointed that we have spent 2 weeks on this deal. Not impressed with our business this summer.

Mitchel need to clean his act up. Wasting SO time much time on this just looks clumsy.

Also, "letting" Palace playing it all out in the press as well - he should have walked away from this deal a long time ago.

I agree time to walk away Palace can do one being so greedy and loving the press attention.

We need to pull out of this deal now. What are Palace thinking? 70m for over hyped English player. Go back and get that lad from AC Milan and bring back Federico Chiesa while you’re over there. Still have change left over.

Pretty sure Thiaw stated that he didn't want to come to Newcastle. I'd pull out at 70 mill too. Guehi will leave for 30 next summer or for free in a couple years.

Palace extracting the urine. 5th bid of £70 + rejected.

Reports in the capital are also now suggesting that Palace may be holding out for bigger bids from clubs in January with Man United, Arsenal and Liverpool previously linked.

United's transfer package on the table right now is believed to be worth north of £70m but that still hasn't tempted Palace chairman Steve Parish into agreeing to the sale. It is the Eagles that have opted to play the Guehi deal out in public after comments from Parish this week with the Selhurst Park club also deciding to put Guehi up for interview.

We should let them stew now and hope they get stuffed next window if they expect more.

There's still a couple of weeks left and I'm sure the club will have alternatives ready to jump in for.

How do you know we’ve wasted time? It is possible to hold 2 or more negotiations at once, you know.

I have thought this would come off - I still think it might to be honest.

However, I do think we need to pull out now. We've met the price they originally wanted and now they've upped again.

Palace are barking up the wrong tree if they think they'll get a mega offer in Jan. . . In Jan, he'll only have 12-18 months left. They want the best money it has to be now with us really.

Yeah can look at in either way.

Palace keep shifting the goal posts waiting for Liverpool to jump in.

The price has gone up and up.

It would be wise for us to walk away at this point. Tell Parish to stick it up his Spitting Image Puppet look-a-like backside!

We've acted in good faith, in a professional and diligent manner. Palace have made it very difficult to do the deal intentionally or otherwise.

We had a price Palace alluded to that would get the deal done. Us cutting our losses and walking away shows we're not gonna be taken advantage of in the market by anyone, especially not a some fake little London club with no history and no prestige.

The also rans of the league. Blessing on their relegation this season.
