I'm seeing strike partnerships as a separate category, another lower league one that stood out was Deane and Agana.
We'd have Toshack and Keegan, Shearer and Sutton, Shearer and Sheringham.
Centre-halves would be another and we could offer Stubbs and Needham, Short and Yates.
Striking partnership for us - McCulloch and Christie!

For us it was Johnson and Draper. Came through the youth setup, got into the first team at the same time, helped get us promoted twice, and were big mates off the pitch.

Also had great premier league careers post Notts, both played for Villa, though not sure at the same time.

Them 2 were class and so was Shorty who I thought was England class and Yatesy too, to the point I wrote into match magazine and said one of the four should have an England chance even though they played in the old league 2 at the time, it got printed, albeit a very small paragraph but still a very proud ****ager 😂

    Strodder and Redmile.
    Jones and Farrell.
    Ravenhill and Bishop.
    Rodgers and Hughes.

Looking at a wider scope, although they didn’t play close to each other on the pitch, Roberto Carlos and Cafu… now that’s a duo!

As popular as Agana was, I'd suggest it was more a mistake to buy the wrong one. [Plus the knock on effect of having to sell the brilliant Rideout.]
