Like some have said I thought first half even but second half Rotherham were easily the better team , encouraging performance.

Wilkes Mcdonald are wide players. We need a player good enough to be in the side who can take corners free kicks opposite to Powell right footed inswingers.

I too thought we would replace Rathbone but at the same time am happy with the balance of the squad, at first glance we look there seems to be too many attacking players but having a closer look this gives us more options to change tactics/systems on yesterday’s showing Wilks seems to have been given a free role he was everywhere and he JCH and Nombe seemed to swap at times was good to see maybe we can give Wilks that no 10 role, then we’ve got Hugill Osong Hungbo and Holmes so plenty of options
Just need to try and keep the defenders fit anything better than last years central defensive farce would be welcome

Look on our squad list . They are in the midfield category 😉. Anyway five competing for two central spots is more than enough 👍. Hope that helps .

I reckon if Rotherham can get a tune out of Wilks consistently this season as Hull City did when they dropped down in to League One during the covid season you'll be there or there abouts in my opinion .

Wilks can be a devastating player at this level but can also be a liability too .

We only had him at Oakwell for 6 months albeit in the championship , I saw him absolutely tear the Fulham defence to shreds on the opening day of the season , he was unplayable but as we began to struggle that season back in the championship he went missing and looked uninterested .

Whether Evans man management style is what Wilks will respond to is the question .

I agree Animal. He knows Evans from his Leeds days so must have an idea of what Evans is about. He does look like that type of player though doesn't he.When he's on it he will win you games on his own,but keeping him on it is the challenge. That left hand side combination with James and Powell when Wilks drifts over looks to becoming very potent.

Well he got tune out of him yesterday pal . He was outstanding. Should be on four to five goals already . Think he’s hit the woodwork at least a couple of times . Personally I like these players with a point to prove . We seem to have the knack of getting them going again . 👍

Never mind Haks missing from 2yrds what about them missing from it too? Maybe a bit unfair on Haks as he was prob expecting Nombe to win the ball in front of him....who btw is still worse than Earl Jean.

Yes it's a result but more down to how bad Huddersfield were. We've got to be better at corners if going for them is what we're playing to do.

Danny Ward was the eptimome of stupid, their coach getting red was stupid and whatever their manager said to the ref at the end to get red was stupid.

10,000 in new York, and 3000 season ticket holders not at the game says how disenfranchised we are with the football club....either that or they were all trying to get oasis tickets.

It's a win but not a win that you feel is something to build on
What? Not something to build on ?...you must have been watching a different game..fair enough, it was a bit route one, but I saw every single player putting 100 per cent in..

Next week at Charlton will need more than just players giving 100%. That's when we could have done with a couple of signings right back & in midfield going to sat it again a Rathbone type of player.

Wilks is a good player you can see that, drifts in and out of a game but he has a lot of confidence. JCH and Nombe put a shift in. Still don't like not having a proper right-back we got caught a few times.
Sending off was correct, penalty not, but I suspect it was because the ref knew he caused their goal by keeping Mccart off the pitch, incorrectly.
Humphries is a class act by the way and we passed the ball a lot more.
    Dawson should be in goal
What did Philips do wrong in goal?..
