I had hoped the days of low block teams coming to Notts were left behind us in the NL and tbf it was a lot less last season. It’s just anti football but 100% get why teams do it, but not a great watch for either sets of fans.

    Cheers pal.

I think we will win and I think we will play well as I do not think Accrington ( who are shipping goals for fun) will be able to stop us. I think we have made a very strong and consistent start but we are beatable. I dont think we will win the league but I think top 4 is a strong possibility. We did not play well against Swindon but a few bits of class they did not have won the game for us and we were solid at the back. Any fan will take that away from home. It was a good unspectacular away performance and I will say this - If Langstaff had played we would not have won.

Expect us to dominate possesion, start Palmer, McGoldrick and Jatta to put maximum pressure on their backline and take the game to them early doors. Move the ball quick and get Jones/Crawley on the ball in good area's to threaten with shooting/crossing opportunities. Defensibly we're a different animal this season so can't see us getting caught out on the counter anywhere near as exposed as we'd become accustomed to. I'll go for a comfortable 3-0 win and then I'll wake up from this dream shortly where nothing catastrophic or Nottsy ever happens.

If Stanley try to match us up they are in serious trouble...it will more than likely be a rear guard action from them and try hit us with hit balls over the top which in some of the games we struggled with but with big Matty in there I trust us to shut off that route... my heart says a big statement win but my head is going for a sneaky 1-0

Is Jatta available after his concussion absence?

I heard Accrington played well Saturday and were unlucky. Expecting a hard game but a narrow win. Might need a lot of patience.

Why the assertion we wouldn’t have won with Macca playing? I’ve seen similar statements regarding Jatta too.

I still think a decent percentage of sides will come to ML and be cautious. I can see Accy sitting in and trying to get to 65/70 minutes and build from there.

Biggest expectation for me would be a quick start. Let’s get at them in the first 15.

Everything points to a decent home victory, but thankfully it’s not like the prem where certain teams just have to turn up to ensure the win.

Looking forward to a home Saturday 3 o clock ko, Didzy up top and Jones and Crowley playing in their rightful positions(another assist from the left for JJ last Saturday I noted).

Everything else should hopefully take care of itself.
