    Not really
Hoofball is not for me at all, but you could say it still shows intent
When possession football loses it's forward impetus and its endless keepball across the backline, there's no point us being there really. It'd be like watching a snooker player chalk his cue for 30mins, a tennis player just bounce the ball on the baseline.
If the the first half v Fleetwood reminded me of anything it would be West Germany v Austria in 1982!
No issue for me to say the first half was awful, the second half good and round the whole thing out as pretty awful, cos we lost 2pts just down to the approach taken. But I'll say for nth time, they get a pass, first home game and all that, nae bother

You are right goofball definitely shows intent. We intend not to play football.

It reminds me of the football my team U13s team played in the 1980 the Y.E.L league. Just get the ball forward and out of our half.

One bad half one good half against Fleetwood suggests can’t complain at the point but we created more so disappointed we didn’t win.

I found it far more entertaining than the Tranmere game but that was away so rightly seen as a better point. Solid, professional and pretty dull to be honest.

Tomorrow I just want the 3 points don’t care if it’s deserved like Grimsby or undeserved like Swindon. Can’t wait to see it

The Boreham Wood and Wembley games were the first I'd seen for a while. Previously I'd been quite healthy. Since then I've been diagnosed with a heart condition. It has been shown that supporting Notts is stressful.

Well it was a dominant performance where we never looked in danger. Played some good stuff and played with 2 (possibly 4) of our best players out.All in all a positive day and can only breed confidence as to how I think the season will progress.! Abbot was on a par for MOM today along with Mcgoldrick!! I think todays performance answered a lot of questions for people today ! Well done SM and Notts...xx

A few thoughts. I enjoyed the game a lot. Abbot looks a fantastic signing, McGoldrick everywhere. Amazed Altrincham finished with 11 players on the pitch! Bass much more convincing than Slocombe. Scott looks to be carrying some extra weight, shame he didn't score and was clearly injured at the end. Good day out, hopefully the stars align and I can get to another live match - it's a lot better than radio or TV, isn't it?

    Altrincham? Wrong Division?

You can only play what is put in front of you..I think we dominated them bar the last 10 mins where they had more ball but created zero...

Ooh dear, Usyapie, must have been exhaustion from being out of my armchair for so long. Or I was harking back to early 80s when I lived briefly in a mansion in Altrincham and commuted to Trent Poly three times per week or I'm just a senile prat. I did actually watch the Accies game, so apologise for the obvious upset my typo caused you.
