Derby, i would have major worries about McDonald,Powell and Hungbo as the forward three of a midfield five.If we continue to lump it high from deep i would also worry about Nombe up top. Unfortunately i cannot see a formation that can work with the players we have and the style we are playing.
I worry about it too, as discussed on other threads our recruitment hasn't been planned well and is incomplete for whatever reason. I was trying to find a formation that didn't leave huge gaps in the middle of the park and gave us some width. I don't think Hugill is right for this club, he wouldn't be anywhere near the first team for me, but he will likely play and score the winner now. We have to remember as Evans says we are all stupid and know nowt

A number on here have said we need our best 11 on the pitch to turn this around, it could be that 3 of our biggest players won't be playing.
Sometimes it's situations like this where a manager finds his best team by accident.
Not sure that's likely to happen on Saturday though.

Couldn't agree more about Iwata for Brum last Saturday, totally run the show, always finding space and my man of the match out of everyone. However, you make a good point about the gaps we gave him by sitting too deep, but without Kelly we have no natural central midfielder and I'm sure the experienced Kelly would also be organising people around him and he has been sorely missed the last 2 games. Just looking at the news is there a chance the game won’t go ahead due to the weather? Seem to remember the isn’t Shrewsbury prone to flooding?
(Come to think I might be mixing it up with Tewkesbury )

Where is everyone drinking before the game? I'm getting the train in so will probably have a few drinks in town. Anyone know if any of the pubs near the ground allow away fans in?

    Thanks.

Hi, there is a decent sized pub about a 10 min walk from the ground just off a massive roundabout . Can’t remember the name but its got a very large beer garden. Obviously depending which way you come from that is . I Google mapped its on Roman Road . 👍

On preview of today's game McCart looks chisel fit listen to me sure he could play left side of midfield. Get Odoffin back in centre defence with Humphreys. But Evans only has eyes for Raggett there who I wouldn't call mobile.

Yes lets put our CB in midfield and midfielder at CB, we can put Phillips up front and Macdonald in goal, put Bramall at right wing and wilks defensive midfielder lastly Tiehi left wing because he likes a cross.

Odoffin he's no midfielder that's been one the problems this season but a championship centre back but Evans can't see that. McCart worth a try left side of midfield Powell not shown that he can do a job there. Macdonald that's where he should be working looks he's parcial to a big mac!

Is this the joke thread? Apart from McCart having a touch like a carthorse and being unable to pass the ball, he’d be ideal on the left of midfield.
