It's also hilarious that Shankland is now our chief panto villain. You'd expect it to be a sevco plaar but honestly I dinna think I could name 5 of them, let alone any one o them who genuinely instils hatred like the proper old-fashioned huns.

I have to hold my hands up and admit that I was a bit sceptical when we appointment Jimmy Thelin but he is absolutely superb.

If he doesn’t win us at least 1 trophy we would be as well turning off the lights at Pittodrie.

    A proper manager.

I sacked him twice this afternoon for the passing it out from the back shyte that was putting us under so much pressure.

He ignored me though and got us the win, so I've decided to give him the Celtic game.

IF and it's a huge IF here, we beat the green filth at the tattiedome. The excitement levels in our support are going to be off the scale.

Not sure we will beat the Tims at the tattiedome later this month but I have a feeling we are going to beat them in the semi final.

Jack McKenzie's flick onto McGrath in the first half was a thing of beauty.

It was a pity it didn't end up with a second goal for us.

There's been a couple of those moments this season, particularly a couple times when Graeme Shinnie out of nowhere was possessed by Andres Iniesta. If nothing else, it speaks to the confidence they're feeling in themselves. It's just brilliant to see - you look at a guy like Palaversa, say, think he'll be intimidated by the gruesome twosome? Not a chance. Too often we've been beaten by septic before we even stepped onto the pitch, but that's not the feeling we get now.

Famous last words, etc, etc, but whatever. Bring it on.

My main concern is that the centre-backs struggled today. Both guys have big potential but they're obviously quite young and inexperienced at this stage. Reckon if we had a cb pair the calibre of Anderson & Reynolds fae 10 years back then I'd honestly fancy us to win the league. As it stands, we'll definitely concede too many goals for that.

It's this playing it from the back shyte that brings us the problems. Just like it did under Goodwin.

I know Jimmy has a style he wants to play and stick with, but I do hate the playing out from the back.

It doesn't matter how much you want to rate Ruby, he is never going to be a ball playing center half. He does the basics well and can look good in the SPL, which is not difficult. He is prone to rushing out and leaving gaps to be exploited by a better team. I feel Malloy is the better player, though not as aggressive or as good in the air as Ruby.

They should get better with time and certainly would be better to stop the playing out from the back as much as we do.

I think we are going to have to bring Palaversa into our team, as he just looks too good to leave out.

Duk on the left side too, should be a must. The introduction of both him and Morris out wide opened the game up for us and Hearts couldn't cope with the pace. McGrath and Clarkson are two good players, but just too similar for me to have both in the team.

We also have issues with up front. Nisbet will score goals given chances, but Sokler works the role better, as he is a clever player, but not as good a finisher as Nisbet. If only we had a player who had both! Come home Mio.
