Ron Hull I believe was at one time interested in buying shares in the club.
ELK, why would any one put their money into the club when they don't control it?

I heard rumours RH was interested years ago when we were still at Millmoor under Boothy, it was when Digital tv(?) were putting money in to show matches............they went bust shortly after, and so his interest disappeared with them.

TS would sell RUFC this afternoon. But he will not sell RU Estates Ltd.

At virtually every fans forum I submit a question asking why RUFC and RU Estates were separated and, if the reason was for keeping the NYS debt off RUFCs accounts, would that situation change once the liability becomes a significant asset?

    The question is never selected.
Allegedly, he charges the club £1m a year in rent while were in the Championship, and reduced rent in L1. So, IF, the £1M goes into his pension pot and some to pay the staduim off. What happens when he pays the stadium off? We're in into our 12th year now, so must be nearly there?
Some will say that the £1M goes in to ASD to pay for the advertising and sponsoring of the club. Then when he sells the club + stadium he would get a fair owd pay off...............utm.

Millers fans don't like change and they don't like outsiders. Though it would give them something new to moan about.
Imo I hope TS is still in charge in 10 years

I'm pretty sure Wrexham folk didn't like/trust outsiders but I think most (but probably not all knowing the fickleness of folk) have changed their mind.

It's a truism that dictators like to control the narrative to avoid difficult questions but what is always surprising is that their loyal followers just accept the situation and are seemingly either reluctant or afraid to push for change.

I do believe RH was about to buy Rotherham Utd but something went off between Boothy RHs Farther in law that’s why it fell thro.

TS could have sold the club times over but he always wants to still be involved with it all and that don't work. You either sell up and go permanently or stay on and that's what we have, status quo.....status quo.....status quo then rinse and repeat.

I think Tony could sell up but what good is the money to him?. He's a multi millionaire so money wouldn't change anything for him. Maybe owning and running RUFC keeps him going with an interest to looking forward to doing something and being involved with it all.

The main reason why football clubs change hands these days is because they have gone bust or have come very close to it. Rotherham United really isn't worth very much. It's a loss making enterprise. It doesn't lose as much as many clubs, but that's only because of the careful stewardship that frustrates supporters who want 'investment'.

The ownership of the ground is a bit of a red herring too. It's worth very little - if anything- without a football club to play at it. In that sense, it would be foolish of its owner to do anything that undermined the viability of the club.
