It's a cliffhanger
Could be emotional ............
It's a cliffhanger
Can’t sleep for thinking about this one.
I'm dead excited.
Difficult to predict this one. Depends on what kind of team both HC's are willing to put out.
Having lost to Man U U21's and Huddersfield we can't qualify. Nothing at stake. Does Daz risk injury to first teamers in a nothing game, "get some minutes in the legs" of fringe players or play a few Academy kids ?
Are Doncaster keen on progressing and put out a strong team ?
There will be a large and raucous crowd in a packed Oakwell to witness what has the makings of an epic match.
Don't forget 7-00pm KO, Tickets £10, only ES Lower open, Car Park £5 closed at 6-30 pm to entrants. For those unable to secure tickets the club have struck a deal to allow it to be shown on Sky+
Unfortunately The Tinker Man has to risk some first teamers in this nothing game , a team has to field x amount of players from the previous league match as per cup rules, I think it might be a minimum of 6 but I could be wrong and stand corrected if so, but there is a rule as such. I have said before on here that when they allowed premier league u 21 sides in the competition they completely killed it for me and I for one am not bothered that we have gone out, I hope that TM uses this opportunity to give Jalo some proper game time along with one or too others such as Killip to get more minutes under their belts , I also think a bit of game time for Oliver Wilkinson would be invaluable in his development but we will see .
I am not sure but that would not be very wise in my opinion, you do that and then pick up a couple of injuries and bingo you could be in trouble as the match progresses , if you are trying to get some minutes into some players then the possibility is that these players might struggle to do 90 and need subbing at some stage but if you have already used your subs then you are creating problems .
I'm really looking forward to tonight's fixture..... that's Bridlington Town v Bradford Park Avenue. 10 minutes walk to the ground, no car park issues to contend with. But most of all, Bradford Park Avenue lost re-election to the league in 1970 and I started watching football the 70-71 season, so I've never seen them play.
Other than that, I hope Barnsley win tonight but it's a completely nothing fixture.
