Okay Swaddon .... we'll write this misdemeanor up as a verbal warning and trust your acknowledgement of same will serve to keep your hitherto performance levels on track. The terms of this verbal warning will expire in 3 months.

However, should further unfavourable results occur, with no plausible mitigation, a strenuous written warning will result alongside a period of probation.

It is understood that, in such a scenario, continuing to operate in your current role, under such intense scrutiny may be detrimental to your performance levels and general well-being. It is therefore the responsibility of the board to advise you to avail yourself of support such as an advocacy service, union representative and/or counselling services.

We trust that you take this decision, as well as the above advice on board, and hope that no further action will be warranted.
