There won't be any Palestinians left for there to be a Palestinian problem in four years, I expect.

The left wing media around the world have turned on Kamala. It looks like some on here have too? Where were your voices of dissent when Pelosi and her cronies usurped Uncle Joe and put Kamala in?

That’s the difference between the right and the left. Generally the right dust themselves down and move on. The left look for someone else to blame.

There was only going to be one victor. Only Trudeau and Albanese left before most of the world returns to normality.

The second happiest man in the world tonight was also present at Trump’s winning speech - Nigel Farage was beaming.

We’ll said. She left her supporters out in the cold and didn’t even thank them for coming. Personally I don’t blame her. She had terrible advisors. Reminiscent of Hillary’s loss, when she failed to appear.

At least most people have managed to avoid the usual crowing about a defeat for the 'left', but there's always one. This was Reform US versus the Conservative Party and Reform US won it. As someone who dislikes both, you can't win, but looking at it from the glass-half-full perspective you can't lose either.

What is the likely impact of this? On Americans, God help them, but as for the rest of us, Trump's position on the Ukraine war is closer to Jeremy Corbyn's than either Johnson or Starmer's who both enjoyed poncing around in short-sleeves, promising our money for a never-ending war to Zelensky.

What I would say, is that if you do a general internet search for Donald Trump, nearly every article that appears is anti-Trump. This leads to the opinion that he is hated by everybody. However, he will win the US Election - I personally don't believe it was ever in doubt, even after Biden was replaced with Harris..
My next prediction is massive social unrest in the US. The crazy left won’t let Trump become President without a fight. I remember Madonna standing before a crowd in 2016 saying that she was prepared to ‘blow up The White House’.

The media will try and blame the unrest on Trump. Difficult times lay ahead for the US, but the no longer silent majority need to stand firm.

So you know more than the majority of voting Americans what they need? At the risk of being called confrontational again, what wars has Trump ever started? Do you have any facts?

But the Muslim vote in Michigan helped Trump win the state. I’m not sure myself how that came about, unless they believe that Trump was better for Gaza than Harris.

Funny how both sides have the same arguments and threats.

Both claim the other side will rip up the constitution and turn the US into a one-party state.
Both claim the other cheated in 2020 and will cheat again this time if they can get away with it.
Both claim the moral high ground (although this is the left's speciality).

    It's all noise really.

Really, it boiled down to a simple question for voters: are you happy with the way the country is going? If yes, vote for the incumbent party that will provide more of the same. If not, vote for the opposition party that will offer change.

They voted for change, and I don't blame them.

Eh, I don't really see it. Maybe if Trump enacts some of the policies he has promised - deporting millions of immigrants, for example, or trying to force Kyiv into letting Putin win - there'll be specific unrest over that.

If he does decide to push a nationwide abortion ban (something not necessarily great for him personally...) then that could break the country.

There was a lot of abstaining - Muslims who saw Harris as supporting a genocide and vowed not to vote for her. There was also a strong culture war thread, especially on LGBT issues. There's a reason Trump spent so heavily on anti-trans adverts in particular. And from what I understand, they knew Trump thought little of them but valued him saying so, versus a Democrat party they saw as just insincere. The quote that stuck with me was "I’d rather deal with the wolf than the fox".
