TTR it you wouldn't mind. Reeves is an adopted Yorkie by constituency and County Down is where Hillsborough Castle is. So is she a renegade Wednesday fan? Honestly totally clutching at straws here. Was there a TV programme about this - was Reeves part of the Hillsborough enquiry?

Don't know, but apparently she test pilotted R J Mitchells Spitfire prototype and trained Douglas Bader in fighter combat tactics, notching up 18 confirmed kills and 4 probables.

Agreed - give them a chance to get it right or **** it up. Don't waste governmental time dealing with nit picking like this. They will have to make unpopular decisions as the economy needs righting - and they will target their own bete noirs. I might disagree, I might agree, but Labour have earned the right to govern their way. Unless they bring Dianne Abbott back that is.
It is quite amazing how much scrutiny the right wing media and internet grifters aim at Labour and labour politicians, the very same people who praised Liz Truss to the heavens and indeed proclaimed her budget to be the best one yet!! No sense of irony some, or indeed shame for having got things so publicly wrong, or made so many false statements.

Still I guess if all they have to go on is a critique of someone's CV or the fact that they ahve declared some donations in accordance with the rules are in force, but can overlook the many lies and falsehoods of say Johnson speaks volumes. These are the same people who overlook Farage's many lies and hypocritical actions.

Anyway, they have been elected to govern, some of what's being done seems sensible, the lack of effort to tax the super rich and tackle the scandal of limited liability partnerships tax and NI avoidance or considering re-joining the single market is disappointing. But we shall see if they prove better or worse than the last lot at actually running the country, no doubt they will get some things wrong and others right.

Kev Gillette, now retired but former director of banking at HSBC wrote on Linked in.
Rachel Reeves in 2009 was 3 levels below him and was a complaints support manager, not an economist.
She was nearly sacked when it was found out, that managers were signing off each others expenses. Then she was followed after having excessive doctors and dental appointments. Turned out she was doing Labour party business and resigned when confronted.

Politics was made for Reeves, but its our money this time

GP. As you will be aware, there are many jokes and memes about Diane Abbott. One of them was about her on a visit to Ireland where a journalist asked her what she thought about County Down. She replied that it was one of her favourite TV programmes.

I'm genuinely surprised nobody, not even TTR, had seen that one a few years back.

Seem them all, but RA usually goes off like a V2 accusing of being racist as a defence of her antics.

She also thought the London underground was a secret organistion and ribbed condoms don't taste meaty at all.
