    Embarrassment avoided.

If you lot got Arsenal away, at least the embarrassment of Barry pocketing the money is avoided.

Only 3830 there yesterday Frank,it?s a bit disappointing crowd to say that it was a FA Cup match against a fairly well supported club

300 were Wigan, anyway were you in the fens yesterday, apparently you should have won. City played their first game at their new stadium, and got 1400, very dissapointing, and lost. I think the stadium holds 3000, not even half full, i shudder to think what the average gate will be.

Ive seen City, Mildenhall, Grays and Gorleston play, many wont be back, the standard isnt great, its about who keeps running the longest.

The gate at StIves was 150, that added to Sawston folk, how many of those going will be fascinating. Sawston used to have a top county division club, wonder what happened to them.

Did you get relegated?, whats your moniker?

What league do City play in,Ive got no idea if 1400 is good or not compared to other clubs,I didnt go to the game Saturday but I was in Great Yarmouth meeting up with a friend to pass on a Christmas present

Yeah I got relegated into League 1 which is no suprise,I will set up another account later under the name Chalky so that you can see more easily where I am next season

I?ve just had a look at that league and 1400 seems a huge amount considering the clubs that are in there and if Bury get 500 or 600 hundred and are the top supported club in that league and City got 1400 then surely it?s a great gate unless I?m missing something?

Just looked at Burys last five games and they have won them all,no wonder that they sit top of of the league, well done on going that far down the leagues to follow football Frank,I admire supporters like you

You have missed something, its Citys first game at their new stadium, i would have thought they would get a full house, so did they, not so, it was all ticket....

I would have gone if i thought id get in, but maybe not if i had to buy a ticket pre match, cant be assed. Who knows where they go from here. South cambs is rich, if they are successful they should get the financial backing, they may even overtake united. That wont take much.

They should make a goal public, like conference football or thr football league, all things then align, but we cant expect psychological stuff from football.

Losing the first game sets a tone a bad one. City have been on a losing run since the mid seventies or whenever around there, the mind set of failure is as ingrained as shot blasting tuppence into united by Barry.

Failure cannot be tolerated anymore, that the excuse.....we have no ground is now absent, it was a red herring anyway.

The chairman must insist now on promotion, deliver or get fired. The current manager had a free hand pre season, new players, and i suspect a good budget, look at what hes delivered....nothing.

No player from the Nightingale era remains, the good were ditched with the not so good. Id give Cureton this season and till about feb next season, if significant progress has not been made its goodbye. The old mentality has to go, be more professional, deliver or go.

Ill go when the fuss dies down, mind you there is no fuss, if i like it, ill be a regular, or regular as i can. Im sure the old Milton Roaders are getting less year by year, and its a big trek to sawston.

Milton Road a grand place, i suspect the spirit of the old club is dead.

They was never going to get 3000 full house even if it was the opening day of their new ground, thsts League 2 attendances and they probably lost a few hundred supporters who would have just turned up on the day like yourself, now the opening day is in the past how many hardcore supporters will go down,it is not going to be 1400 or anything like it,they need promotion next season to make a start on filling it
