    What is going on?

What is going on regarding the World Cup? The whole thing is not only farcical but obviously corrupt. Let?s be perfectly honest, FIFA has to be one of, if not the most, corrupt institutions on this planet. The presenter on Sky was lost for words as to what he had just witnessed regarding the 2030 and 2034 competitions. There was no vote, just an acclimation. Infantino must be weighed down with all the brown envelopes that he has received, especially from Saudi Arabia. Also, what is the logic behind holding a competition on two different continents, Europe and South America, in 2030. There was no vote, the world was just informed as to who are going to host the two competitions.

What I would like to see, which won?t happen of course, is that all the major countries boycott, certainly the Saudi Arabian competition. As with the Sky presenter I just can believe what I have seen.

You can add Africa. The 2030 World Cup is not on two continents its on THREE. With North America hosting the next one and South America, Europe and Africa in 2030 it left Asia a free run. Whole thing stinks. I'd love some of the major FA's to stick 2 fingers up! Be the best for football in the long run.

Can?t but agree, truly appalling? 🫣 FIFA and Infantino (before Blatter), you can?t get more corrupt and bent. How many thousands of builders etc will die building the stadiums, hotels etc!?

Are you sure your displeasure is based on Saudi's appalling record on human rights, anti LGBT laws, workers safety, no football heritage, 11 new stadiums with no future, ecologically all wrong, wrong climate, rather than your anti Islam bias just rising to the surface again?

Just in case anyone's in any doubt about this. Big winky thing.

What an absolute shambles. It has likely brought the game into disrepute, though FIFA will run roughshod over anything.

People, start watching, if you don’t already, rugby at international level at least. It is honest graft played by proper sports people, it is exciting and the players give their all.

FIFA, in my opinion, is no longer fit for purpose. I guess they are trying to spread the footballing word across other continents, however this is being done to the detriment to the game and the office that is responsible for running it globally.

Like others I would love to see nations say enough is enough but like others know it won’t happen.
