I think he's (cynically) using the big majority to get the sh!t out of the way early, because like it or not Labour are here for another four years.
Don't count your chickens as there's still loads of dirt on Starmer to come next year when the press ban on certain events is lifted

OP67 here seemingly forgetting that the Tories remained in power despite changing leader 4 times.

I agree with you on the petition futility . Having said that, futility didn't stop the petition for a second EU referendum.

One person's futility is another person's howl of protest

You still seem to missing one very important point which I've mentioned before. Even if Starmer is convicted of being a mass murderer it will mean he's gone, but the Labour government will still be in power. Keep signing the petition, and dream that Santa has given you what you wish for this time next week.

I fully realise that the howls of protest are pretty loud at the moment, but they can't be put into action until the next general election.

And that won't be happening anytime soon.

You may have missed it, but the people already had the power.

If you google 'general election results 2024' you'll see how they used their power.

You mean a Parliamentary, majority which of course, is the one that matters but with just 33.7% of the vote, he hardly has a resounding 'mandate' from the wider public who, should have gotten out to vote in larger numbers. The stars aligned for Starmer when so called 'voter apathy' and wasted, 'protest' votes, combined to split Tory support.

I don't think the people who wasted their votes, were in full realisation that this would effectively, result in a Labour government. Looking at the voter 'stats', few of the seats which were lost by the Conservatives, went to Labour and most, post election Labour seats were already in their hands. The fact that Labour are in power, does not mean that there has been a seismic, shift to the left, the British public have not, suddenly become 'woke' and embraced Labour and their 'loony left' policies.

Starmer has become the new Corbyn in his unpopularity and Labour would do well to dump him.

Still no sign of charges for the Manchester crew I see.

Exactly so, why are they demanding compensation for having to work to the same age as men, what's the 'compo' for?
