It’s because people are living longer Chalky. You and I will probably live a couple of years longer than folks 50 years ago so the situation has to change, otherwise pension costs go up, and that has to be paid for, usually through taxation. Waspi women? Kerching, taxation. Of course, if the Tories had left a war-chest instead of a ?22 billion black hole things would look a lot brighter. This Government already has to pay for the Post Office scandal and the infected blood compensation, neither of which were costed into Tory budgeting. The problems of a handful of pensioners, farmers and retirement-aged women are unfortunately collateral damage to try and fix the mess that the country has been left in. And businesses, after 14 years of mollycoddling, have to pay their share too.

    Simple, right?

No not simple but you make it sound as though it?s these peoples fault for not paying out for a wrong that should be put right,I dont like Diane Abbot as a person but I admire for standing up to Keir and asking questions that needed to be asked by Keirs own party, how much did the government save when they put the womans retirement age up to 65 and mens up to 67?

It?s just the two facedness of it all that?s got me,I want to bring illegal immigrants into the conversation but i don?t want to sound like NS,is it any wonder that the far right two hats like Lee Anderson and Tommy Robinson get more popular by the month

It just p1sses me off when I see things like this on the News which I rarely watch it now except for the 10pm headlines but if it? gets me irate about politics then maybe I should just not bother at all

Dont give up, you call it as it is, its common sense. I twigged on very early that Griff is a fanatic, truth is a victim, its about the party, he would make a good nazi. He will defend the indefensible, not healthy.

Wasn’t it Farage that wanted the UK out of the EU because he was fed up with foreigners being involved in our sovereign affairs? Now he’s quite in favour of a foreigner, Elon Musk, being involved in our sovereign affairs. That’s not authentic, it’s hypocritical.

No. Labour takes money from abroad too. Explain then how taking money is not hypocritical for Labour but is for reform. Funny how you zero in on that.

Money money money. The very last thing Labour values or understands, bilions in reforms account.

Britain, the mother country to the english speaking world is changing.

Sorry griff but Im still a Luddite that hasnt got X and all I get is an invite to join up (thats not going to happen) when I click onto X links

I am gonna take a guess and presume its an explanation as to why Labour are right to deny the WASPI women their money, politicians are all the same and only look after themselves no matter what party they belong to so I am dropping my thoughts on the subject
