trust me I don't waste my time waiting for SE to mention anything, unlike you I don't have a a poster of him on my bedroom ceiling

As for PD the idea that some on here think the COO isn't a major decision maker at the club is hilarious and once TS has issued his instructions who do you think implements them if not the COO and CFO.

Of course he isn't the final decision maker but as you state MILLERSTALE he brokers the deal, you by your own words he is the deal maker.

I haven't said that PD know nothing about football, don't put other people words in my mouth. The board have run the club for many years, they have a lot of experience and via their networks formal and informal they will work with other outside agencies as well. That doesn't mean they always get it right does it? All the people on here at some point have found something the club has done and moaned about it.

To make cayton happy i won't mention him again, why don't you and NWC give the posters on here a list of things we can't talk about being that you are so quick to criticise others, but rarely add any real value other than focusing on the people that post rather than the subjects being discussed.

I only comment on other people’s posts to either agree or call out the bollox. You get to pick which category you fall into.

With respect to PD - have you ever met and spoken to him? I have and I can assure you he is not like any other COO I have ever met. Don’t mistake RUFC with a large commercial operation, it’s a tin pot outfit with next to no infrastructure or system behind the facade. PD is therefore nothing more than a glorified office manager with Karen akin to an Accounts Clerk.

Unfortunately your description of people's roles is spot on but that's what you get in an autocracy.
It's not really fair for people to criticise employees who are given fancy titles but have minimum authority to make decisions.

Does it really need to change? It's been one hell of a ride, the last 12 years.

    I suppose it's a debatable point.
Sure it's been a hell of a ride in the last 12 years but where are we going as a club now? We seem to be stagnating, stuck in the doldrums and with an owner who has admitted he was so fed up 12 months ago that he seriously considered selling up.

We seem to be behind the times in a lot of ways so maybe a fresh pair of eyes at the top wouldn't go amiss. I fully accept that a change of ownership wouldn't guarantee an improvement in fortunes but I can't help thinking that a change is likely to happen anyway because of TS's age and his apparent disillusionment over relatively recent events.

Something else that appears to be the case from the outside is the number of "senior people" at the club who have been in their jobs for a very long time and seem very comfortable.
Just to give an example, as far as I am aware, commercial revenue is virtually static, there is little in the way of innovation and units under the stadium have stood empty for 12 years. Maybe some challenging targets in this area wouldn't go amiss because season ticket sales are likely to fall next season.

People may say "be careful what you wish for" but change is inevitable at some stage anyway and maybe that's nearer than we realise.

The last two have been a depressing ride. Easily the longest and most difficult since we came to NYS.

I'm not sure. Were they as bad as the ones between Evans (first time) and Warnock. Or the ones between Warnock and warne.
Let's be honest ulley, 8 great seasons and 4 bad ones from the last 12 years sure out way seasons that clubs like reading, Birmingham Shrewsbury even sheff wed have had...

It is now stagnant pal even you must admit that. Only last season Tony had enough and was looking to sell up, what's changed his mind to stay on? Please don't tell me it's because of the return of his mate.

I do acknowledge thew 8/12 scenario, great times indeed.

Most clubs would sell a child for the success we have had in those 12 seasons and on a budget that is sustainable... We can't have success all the time and 20 year ago we were glad we still had a club...
Imo it's to easy to point fingers and look for blame when the same people gave us so many memories..
