    2. To enable 1., decide on a formation, 3/5 at the back or 4 at the back but not a mix of both

    3. To enable 2., pick a team based on our strengths not combating the opposition's strengths

    3. Give the captaincy to a player that the rest are actually a bit scared of. This might mean bringing someone in for leadership abilities as much as on field performance, although I recognise we don't really have that luxury. The current team all just seem too 'nice'/pally for their own or the team's good.

    4. Seen elsewhere, but its worth a punt, accept that Yates and Jackson are actually no better than Collins, and give the old carthorse one more chance as a starter in place of one or other. He's a waste of time as an 'impact sub', especially for 5 mins, but Yates and Jackson aren't pulling up any trees either

    5. Resolve your differences with/get a psychologist to improve the demeanour of CBT and start him

    6. Also seen elsewhere, when Nyambe's back, pick Wilson as a winger instead of Mendez Laing

    7. Don't start Thompson, 'looking busy' doesn't a good player make.

    8. Don't start, or otherwise feature, Chirewa, just accept you goofed there and return to sender

    9. Try to get a centre forward who can sniff out half chances like your missed opportunity Dwight Gayle did last week for Hibs. We only need someone for 20 games

    10. DON'T replace defenders or defensive midfielders during a game unless they are well off-form or completely knackered.

So, starting line-up as soon as fitness allows, 1-4-5-1 (that right MA?)

Zetterstrom. Nyambe Nelson Cashin Elder. Wilson Ozoh Adams Goojmin Blackett-Taylor. Collins

    11. Sorry, forgot to add: Try to come over in interviews like you aren't managing your local pub team

    12. I'm not Warne Out, and I think we'll survive this year IF we get key players back even if no new players come in
    That is spot on AF.

Looking forward, if we are to stick with the one up top malarkey, I'd go for Brown. He's at least as quick as Yates, can play with his back to goal which Yates can't, he can hold the ball up which Yates can't. Also Brown could well prove to be our future for a good few seasons which, IMO, Yates isn't. Plus Yates has a contract to the summer of 2026 at Swansea, possibly with another year option clause. He'd cost money we don't have so won't be here next season plus he's got 4, or is it 5 goals this far. Love the non-striker parts of his game but, for me, he doesn't have the killer instinct Collo has and Collo isn't one for the future and quite possibly not for the here and now.

yes, I was all for Yates on the basis of a goal every two and a half games but he hasn't delivered, and you're right, Brown is good with back to goal, a skill I love seeing

Good reply. I wouldn’t say ‘spot on’ but I agree with much of that although you have more faith in Collins and CBT than I do and I think you’re being a little harsh on Thompson.

I don’t share your belief that we’ll stay up without meaningful reinforcements but I acknowledge how difficult that is. I’m not ‘Warne out’ either. My genuine dilemma is, I don’t know whether we keep him as the right man to take us back up (from L1) next season or replace him pdq with someone who is more likely to keep us up this time around.

    Wayne Rooney is (predictably) available?

My enthusiasm for Ozoh is a little more tempered than most, for the same reason. He has a very busy body language, almost like he's trying to fend off one of the opposition even if there's no-one there, I think it makes him look more of a player than he actually is, albeit I'd still pick him

Don't think she'd increase turnover at Bubbles though...

Apparently those opposed to Bubbles' existence have suggested the best way of getting rid of the place is to appoint Wayne R as its manager
