It takes 30 seconds to google the question "Left influence on UK education".

Ahhh here comes Med's cheerleader. I don't know what's happened to you recently Smiffy, i thought you were one of the good ones.

If it's on Google it must be true.

To be fair, it takes 30 seconds to google absolutely anything. Try 'Is immigration good' or 'Is immigration bad'. You'll find exactly what you want whatever your thoughts.

Just the question I was going to ask. Why has this apparent left wing domination of the education system never been tackled in 14 years of Tory rule? Or has it only happened since Labour took power?

Very true. I found loads, but there?s no point posting a link from a right wing website.

However The Guardian website had some stuff about the left wing influence on education.

To be honest, it was stupid of those asking for proof. My old history teacher who was a self declared Communist and ardent Notts fan, used to tell us that most of the grassroots teachers had left leaning views. Most picked them up from University.

I wasn't familiar with The Bruges Group, so I googled it.

"The Bruges Group's honorary president was former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. The current president is Lord Tebbit and the current chairman is Barry Legg who was chief executive of the Conservative Party and a former Member of Parliament".

Good to know you're taking a balanced view!

Those in the US call it the Deep State. Hence many countries that have new centre right governments are going through a process of clearing out the old guard.

Big news in the USA currently that the last of the Schwab leaders has just tended his resignation.

Canada?s Justin Trudeau leaves the building.
