Guess he will come on at some stage as a sub with Austin making room (Still say Jarvis will go left side attack). If he impresses then let's not let sentiment get in the way of playing him. I am the first to applaud Austin (he seems to me the one to step down for Jarvis) but if Jarvis helps us get points on the board he should start. All a bit previous I know.

Been mulling over for a while now about DM slotting into a Bostock role? DM is so good with the ball and has the full range of passes, save his legs and let him weave some magic in the middle (just a though like).

I have said that I think he is a great signing. That doesn't mean though that I don't realise that it may not work out.

By describing him as a great signing, that's in comparison with some of the signings we have made in the past which I saw as underwhelming when we made them (but some have turned out good). Austin falls into that category (I was wrong), along with Adebayo-Rowling (I was right!).

Pretty sure Jarvis won?t start on Saturday but if your subs bench is a good guide to how strong your squad is I?m looking forward to seeing ours against Grimsby.

Will certainly look different to the ones against Salford, Walsall away etc. Austin and Martin will be really unlucky to lose their places.

You play for the shirt. If someone comes into the side without first earning the right then something is wrong...Austin has been a revelation, and his place should not be under no more of a threat than any of the other players..

Must be something in the air? I did say "if he impresses" which should mean to anyone that they have earned the right? As for getting Jarvis (or Foden or anyone else into the forward line) who would you put on the bench? Crowley, Abbott, Palmer, JJ, DM ???
And by the way, I have shown more appreciation for Austin than most on here, including you.

Noticed Edwards is now in full training looking at pies/player, more good news he was great against Grimsby earlier in the 4-1 win so might see him on subs bench on Saturday probably in place of Grant who needs to up his game.
