Doing My Usual Post Victory Rounds...

Gotta say, a lot of proper Arsenal fans pretty fair with their praise on our performance last night - guess it depends where you look but I'd say a good 60-70 % are balanced and full of admiration. Wuite surprised actually even talk shiite were full of tributes last night and today.

When we took off our best players and went 2 banks of 5 and said to them, "c'mon then break us down" particularly impressed them.

Cnts are a bit fickle though and apparantly their whole front line is now shiite.

I said on the match thread it was a bold move by Eddie.

We backed ourselves to keep them out and it worked. Not sure my heart could stand it if we get to the final, get a lead and try the same thing. As Eddie admitted, we rode our luck at times too.

Yup Zip, that couod quite easily have backfired and was concerned about the players coming on being dropped straight in but they did it and you could tell this was training ground work paying off. Totally practised, organised and purposeful.

Maybe we now have the "game closer squad" to come off the bench now.😁

Really demanding I know, but I would have preferred to push for a third last night and really kill off the second leg.

If they score first at SJP, early in the game, then it is blown wide open? and I?d bet dollars to doughnuts that is exactly what they will push for, and come flying out of the traps.

There was talk of an Isak ?niggle? after the game, so if that was the case then completely understandable, but never saw anything from him to suggest there was any discomfort.

When we have Bromley next I?d expect Osula to start, and Barnes, and a bunch of squad players (no injuries though pls &#128521, but I also expect Isak will push for some time on the pitch to extend his scoring streak.

Almiron could have finished the tie off late on, but typical Miggy lost control! I expect them to come out guns blazing at our place which could play into our hands,if we can score first then we can all relax! But this is Newcastle!

Aye, 3 would have finished it and all it takes is a key injury,/VAR/red card/early goal and the tie is back in the balance again......I'll take the 2 though.

He was probably a bit rusty as hasn't had a great deal of minutes in periods of games where we have still being trying to attack much, hence why he tripped over the ball. He was offside anyway so at the end of the day didn't really matter.

I thought with the subs, and the line up with two lots of 5, we were well set up to get a third as Arsenal had no choice but to go for it leaving them selves wide open for a breakaway which would have really Killed them off. As it is now they are very badly wounded and hopefully had a confidence knock.
