He means Starmer and Rayner. It's the sort of thing a cretinous and crass buffoon would post.

Will it be "in Kemi we trust", or "in Nigel we trust" next?

I don't pretend to understand how the markets work but my wife and my portfolios are up 2% since the first week of the month. That should cover the cost of a new bathroom swmbo desires.

I watched a bit of the inaugauration and the first 5mins of Trump's "put america first", "reclaim our borders", "make america great again" whilst he disparaged much that had happened under the Biden administration. Now how don't know how much wa right or wrong but what grated was the utter lack of class in the way he trashed his predecessor. His actions seemed built along the same lines as Hamas parading their weapons as the ceasefire was introduced. No decorum whatsover. But my money has gone up so I suppose I should be pleased, for the time being at least.

    Decorum? He does not care.

Just listened to a bit of his speech. Sounds like he is making it up as he goes. Still trashing Biden and everything he did.

Says he is going to release the J6 hostages (around 600 were charged with attacking law enforcement officers) but also said how great the law enforcement officers are.

Still, there will be no crime and no inflation.

It happened last time too. Money floods into the US, because of Trump being voted in and the Democrats being kicked out. Then the markets think, f&%k! will he or won't he?

They don't like uncertainly do the markets and they don't like it up 'em.

    Don't panic!

I don't think Biden deserves any respect. Even some of the Democrat Hardcore are saying he could be the worst President the US has ever had and they have a few to choose from. Jimmy Carter must be up there.

Some of his last minute pardons etc. that he has made along with attempting to scupper a smooth transition would have had many of the usual crew on here wetting themselves with anger if Trump would have done the same.

I remember friends in the US telling me after the 2016 election, the reason why Trump won wasn't because of his performance or because of the dislike to Hillary Clinton, but because of Barack Obama.

He was detested by many Americans, but outside of America, was held up like the Holy Grail of what a perfect President should be like. They said that Trump offered something different to the norm of the politicians looking after their own.

Biden has taken the US back to those old days where the President was more about his own than the many.

Obama to many Brits, was the same as Thatcher to the Americans.

    One question.....

What were the five best things that Biden did as President?

    Could you list them please?

    1. He got inflation under control after the trump era of hyperspending and tax cuts
    2. The massive inflation reduction act began steering the US economy into critical growth areas including sustainable renewable energy
    3. Violent crime down (it shot up under Trump)
    4. Health insurance rates went up - something like a third of the people who didn't have insurance got insurance under Biden. This is the next best thing to a functioning public health system (politically impossible in the US)
    5. He actually supported Ukraine and handled Russia's invasion of it in a way that meant Russia has lost almost its entire post-cold war land forces
    6. He did eventually get a ceasefire signed in Gaza
    7. CHIPS act moves critical microprocessor manufacturing into the US meaning a war in Taiwan won't permanently crash the global economy

I mean, just off the top of my head.

    Things he didn't do well:

    1. Immigration is not under control, although he was stymied by republicans in congress voting down their own bill after he agreed to it, because Trump told them to keep immigration problems as a live issue for the election (this worked)
    2. He presented himself terribly throughout, coming off as senile or borderline senile in too many public appearances
    3. He should never have run for a 2nd term and had an open primary to replace him, giving candidates better than Harris a fair chance
    4. US support of Ukraine was inadequate to push Russia out, and patchy. Although this was in no small part due to Republicans in congress vetoing the spending for months at a time
    5. Gaza was a mess. You could theorize a different president would do better. I'm not confident of this.

I mean, I wouldn't put him above the more capable presidents like Bush Senior or Clinton but he wasn't terrible. Trump, IMO, was terrible and will be terrible again. Maybe not as bad as Bush Junior but bad. But I'm not too fussed. He isn't president of Australia so I expect to be largely unaffected by his idiocy.

Biden issuing preemptive pardons to his family and Fauci in the final hours of his presidency while Trump launched a cryptocurrency meme coin, syphoning billions of dollars of money from normal people to himself, pretty much sums up the state of politics in the US. It's rotten at the top!

    * I will appoint a real special prosecutor to go after the most corrupt president in the history of the United States of America, Joe Biden, and the entire Biden crime family, * Trump said last year.

Anybody in their right mind would do what Biden has done given the repeated threats President Rapist has made against his political opponents.

What yesterday reminded me of is that people talk about the rape and the crime and the attempted election stealing but what they forget is that Trump and his hangers on are pretty much to a man and woman stark staring mental. Gulf of America ffs.
