It will cost more than that if we don't go up.

?750k isn't an insignificant amount for a League Two club. I imagine if a figure like that comes in the summer we probably accept it. I think the club have it about right on this one: it would be a short term blow to lose him, but one absolutely worth taking if it means collecting one of the largest transfer fees in L2 history.

Clubs massively over pay in Jan as they act out of desperation so I don?t think anyone would offer the same in the summer.
Unless we could get an adequate replacement on loan or we think we?ve got enough in the current squad we?d then be in the same boat; desperate to replace!
I don?t think we can turn down ?1M. That?s crazy money for league 2.
Sell Jatta, loan back Langstaff then buy him back for ?100k in the summer and have ?900k to invest in our league 1 squad?.I should do this for a living!

Surprised nobody's used the 'bedwetter' label yet.

    He's under contract til June'26.
He should be favourite to be L2 top scorer. With silly money percolating down from the Prem, some club could offer 7 figures plus. I'd rather we resist accepting a bid for now

Im bleating about it and it hasnt happened yet. One of the more notable things about Stockports, Wrexhams and Stags success last season was that they didnt sell their best players halfway through the season.

Same thing. Football Radar used to find Jatta in Estonian football to take him to Viborg.

It?s not just about the finding it?s the analysis that then happens

Give it time probably won?t be too long until that label is warranted

The ideal would surely be to; retain Jatta for the remainder of the season, gain promotion and then sell him in the summer. However, he is new to English football and the country, and may be happy to stay with Notts for now. The door would still be open for him later.
