Don't get the "get Langstaff back" thing if we did sell Jatta personally. We could not afford the money he is on and getting him on loan and paying some of his wages would probably require us to untilise a notable part of the money we would be making on a short term patch up job.

Don't do owt stupid Notts. Promotion is there on a plate for us this year - unless we do something stupid.

I would guess in January last year our asking price to sell Macca was probably significantly more than we eventually sold him for.

One million would be tough for any div 1 or 2 club to turn down but we are already 1 striker short so I cant see us accepting or welcoming any bid at present. What we dont need is to be left paying over the odds on the last day of the window for a replacement. Etete with his injury record would be a massive risk.

That's not what people were saying towards the end of last season when Maynard couldn't buy a win.

I didn?t I used the future tense. However, your one bad season away from non league again would qualify in many people?s minds.

With these owners I just can?t see us being anywhere near the complete mess needed to a true relegation candidate.

As others have suggested playoffs this season would be progression compared to last season not sure how it can be viewed as anything but

Now they were bedwetters because we came nowhere close to relegation last season. Perfect example

I would have thought that getting ML back on loan would be just the nudge the Bros would look for to move Jatta on. IF Jatta goes and a million+ is being offered them ML's wage would easily be absorbed (probably the difference between selling AJ now when clubs are desperate or in the summer when nobody has to pay inflated prices). I doubt ML would be interested in coming back so look out for DM as a 9 and a couple of young kids behind him. As mentioned before, 13th would be an improvement and seems acceptable to some. IF this does happen then perhaps next season I will support Notts County Profit and Loss account.
