We will have rebuffed offers for JJ over the summer and he even signed a new deal, Crowley was a different kettle of fish.
I don?t think Plymouth are that appetising either for Jatta their rock bottom of the champ.
If he keeps scoring he?ll probably be worth another 25% come the summer so I can?t even see where the business sense is for the bros to sell him let alone it possibly derailing a promotion push.
If we sell AJ in this window, the problem might be that the model is working too well. We had Dan Crowley for 18 months and, if we do sell him, AJ for just 12 months - that puts pressure on the recruitment team to keep getting the big signings right. And while Macca’s replacement was already in the building, AJ’s isn’t.
Things aren’t easy when you’re a selling club with players who are actually worth buying.
Reading on the Plymouth forum, they seem quite keen on AJ (on balance), to the point of paying ?1m & seem to think we're desperate for the cash. Far from it I'd say, its more the case of the right deal (whatever that is?) fitting the Bros model. One thing for sure is we wont undersell AJ, always assuming he would want a move to a club likely to be in L1 next season, when he could be looking at playing in L1 for us next season anyway (perhaps with a substantial 'payrise'?) In any event I hope he's here for at least the rest of this season.
I pose the same question as per the Crowley thread - do we actually want to get promoted, or not?
If Jatta is sold this month, we will have sold two key players in January without an adequate replacement for either. If that is the eventual outcome, then the answer to the above would appear to be a resounding no and the fan base would have every right to be disappointed.
I hope it is just conjecture - over to you, Notts.

Picked this up off Tw*tter, usually pretty reliable source
The only bad news is that the fee has been leaked. 750K is phenomenal and fits in with the Brothers plan to bring in players, build them up and sell them.
If he goes, other clubs know that we will have money to spend.
Freddie Draper ain't doing much at Lincoln.
