No there isn't. There's not a single person on here that wants the club to go sh1t or bust. Everyone appreciates the work the Bros have done and are extremely grateful (I presume?). The surefire of seeing 10k drop off is be rooted in L2.

Why? Our crowds have grown and grown since these owners came in and we?ve been in the NL 4 years and league 2. What were our crowds last time we were in league 1? I want promotion this year, last year, all previous years but I also want the club to be sustainable when promoted. Jetta?s brilliant at this level, but no-one is irreplaceable at the right money. Promotion with Jatta is not guaranteed - even in this league that some are suggesting is weak. There are still some big spending well backed clubs,

No they don't. I want promotion.

But I also recognise that promotion isn't built around one player, that every player has their price, and that the reason we've had Championship clubs buying/bidding for two successive strikers is because the recruitment team found these gems in the first place, so they might already have the next Langstaff or Jatta in their sights.

I don't think it's by any means certain that we'll sell Alassana, or that he would want to go, but we have to recognise and respect that the whole business model of the club is based upon identifying good value players, even if it means paying six figure sums for them, developing them, and selling them if the right bid comes in, which help keep the club sustainable. There will never be a perfect time to sell a player and fans are never happy to lose a good one, but on the occasions it happens we've got to trust the process, even if it sets progress on the field back a bit in the short-term (which it won't necessarily).

The approach of several previous regimes saw us sign copious amounts of expensive dead wood, whereby it was relatively rare for other clubs to even want to buy them, and despite some moments of promise, we were generally on a downward curve, which is why we ended up in non-league.

At the risk of getting a slagging am I the only one who's baffled AJs sudden rise in value?, he's a big quick unit who's scored a dozen or so playing for one of the most attacking sides in the 4th tier & suddenly he's worth ?millions, yes he could come good so if we sell we should get the clauses right but I must admit that if it was us paying ?1+ I would expect someone with a much better proven record. That said I still hope we keep him at least for the season. COYP
