Perhaps, but it's still a fact and it is an issue that needs addressing.

I'm not convinced it does, we'll never be a perfect team with the budget and in this division

I usually enjoy the first half tactical battle and seeing if we can get the better of or get to half time on terms knowing we will improve second half

It's a case of what's not broken, play the best team based on the opponent, don't lose the game early as it's very rare to come back and win from behind usually

We will 100% park the bus, it wouldn't surprise me if he stuck on 2 keepers. We are far more likely to steal 1pt than walk away with all 3! I would love us to have a go and rattle them but I think even if we did get an early goal, JG would shut up shop and try and play it out. If you are thinking we might play expansive, attacking football whilst scoring a few goals...then I would recommend that you avoid Sunday all together. Right now, I would take your hand off for a nil nil draw! I am not saying that we ain't capable of beating them...I just think JG will play the percentages!

If we are on level terms going into second half, I'll take it every time

Another 2 games we have failed to win after scoring in first half. Remarkably the Motherwell win was only the second league game this season we have won when we scored in first half. Worryingly like Raith Rovers last season the late goal thing has also dried up. We are the worst in the league for losing from winning positions. It is happening too often for this to be chance.

The Aberdeen game shown the 2 sides of this United team. First half playing with wingers we looked dangerous. 2nd half we would have been as well as not playing any forward players as we retreated so much to protect the lead. I think I read somewhere that the 2nd half it was the least of any team this season playing in the opposition half. JG put it down to tiredness and amount of games we have played. Maybe towards the end but that doesn't explain the whole half of retreating or taking Trap off early on in the half who was probably are most effective forward player and who has not been playing 3 games a week because JG has been leaving him on the bench.

I am still with JG. I hope he learns from his mistakes as the good outweighs the bad this season but some of the decision making since we went 3rd in the league has been baffling and the much praise on recruitment has gone a bit heywire with Jan transfer which I think has had a negative effect on our team selections and formations.
