A lot of negativity online. We have potentially strengthened i think though.

People taking aim at Clowes too which is disappointing, I hope this remains online and doesn't become evident at games.

    Time to back the team

I think we've had a good window, people need to wind their necks in. Sometimes I look at what our fans say, and think we deserve to be relegated, just so the entitled bunch **** off.

Agree. Completely out of order and counter productive having a go at the owner.

I think it's been ok yes. Disappointing to lose players due to injury, but it's surely not possible to just go out and get replacements for all. The injured players still need paying.

Don't know anything about the new defender, but Clark is a good replacement for Nelson, let's hope the new guy fills cashins boots.

Salverson looks good, I do have concerns we are weak in the positions that will support him though. Possibly one area I'd have liked to see improvement.

You missed out on O'Brien, shame that as he is real quality at Champs level.

Others slating Warne because we didn't get the wide man and striker he was after. Totally missing things like parent clubs asking too much or any deal dependent on them getting a replacement in first. Forms of words showing they don't understand how transfers work and why they can fail to happen. Apparently it's all Paul Warne's fault. Nothing to do with finances etc

Quite a few are slating young Armstrong already and he's yet to kick a ball in training for us...

That move does, however, raise a question with regard to our own young guns. Will Armstrong be getting minutes we could possibly have given to, say, Cruz Allen, and thereby develop the lad for Everton while slowing any possible development for Cruz? Or are they different types of midfielder?
Worth a look on youtube, some evidence of the lads ability and creativity. Armstrong seems a good addition, perhaps will add that creativity the midfield has been lacking. I don't know what stage Cruz Allen is at, but maybe he isn't considered advanced enough to throw into a relegation battle?

I'm afraid that the fans reaction online is typical of the sense of entitlement thats been at Derby for a while now, yes we ahve a nice stadium and training facilities, but we haven't been a "big" club in the football sense for over a decade and are barely 2 years from having being on the brink of going out of business, but there we are. Many fans have no sense of reality short memories and happy to have owners spend millions in the chase of the dream, without having to worry about the consequences.

Overall a pretty decent transfer window, a good striker, 2 defenders and a young eager creative midfielder on loan.

Its now up to Warne to make the most of his squad, I have hope we will not be relegated, but its going to go down to the wire.

I think that's exactly it Swale. We've strengthened the spine of our squad this season; Goalkeeper, 2 centre backs, retained Adams in defensive mid, and a new centre forward. It's all good building blocks, the wide players will always be hit and miss, its the nature of those positions. Cashin has gone, but we now have 2 proven centre-backs (Clark, and Nelson has proved himself), and the new lad too, giving us good security at the back, so good business there, and hopefully if we stay up we can secure Clark further.
It is as you say, now down to Warne to get them going.

I note Jeff Hendrick is a free agent, perhaps he'd like to come back and help his old club out?

Whilst Ryan Kent a winger is also a free agent.
