I think the whereabouts of a potential young left back is the least of our worries.

Best team won. They played it like a cup-tie, us like a behind close doors friendly.
Five games against league two opponents, one win, one draw. God help us if we make the play-offs. Hopefully we've enough in the tank to stay up, but I'm not laying bets.

Well, what a pile of uninterested players. Hugill, yeah i accept he's here for the money but, can we play wide players and turn the defence so Hugill and co can attack the ball, that's what he's done all his career. Hoofball up to the front 2 doesn't work, we can see it, it was tried from August, and it still doesn't work, can't you see it SE & PR......? Tactic's......................give over...........

Hatton was Bradford away in this seen him go down the left put a decent ball in with his left foot. Get him in training playing left back see if can play there.

I think there is a player in Hatton as well, we persist playing Holmes instead of hatton, the lad has done nothing to deserve being picked ahead of hatton, McGuckin and Kayode. It is his first season so he needs time, but he is favoured for one reason and one reason only, Evans got him for a curry.

Shrewsbury will do a number on us on Saturday, basically because we are so easy to play against. We lack the ability to break teams down and we move the ball so slowly. So they will sit with 4-4 or 4-5 and catch us on the break. None of our players seem capable or have the vision to switch a ball diagonally and rapidly turn the opposition, Humphreys does a job but 95% of every pass he plays is backwards or side-wards, when Wilks and Nombe aren't on the pitch the forwards lack movement. Green isn't interested, for a player of that talent to be so inaffective in recent games is shocking, yesterday he stood 3m from a 50/50 ball and made no effort to go for it, Powell (who had a poor game) ran 10m to try and get it.
Hugill is not good enough and doesn't care, as small a squad as we have, he shouldn't be named in it. Firstly to make it clear to him that his footballing career will end if he doesn't move in the summer and secondly to give a TS a real kick in the teeth for the lack of support in the transfer market, and say there you go, spend your ?12k a week on a player that isn't even in the squad. Yes i know that isn't nice and won't happen, but it would be funny if it did.

Derby be hard to check back but I always go to the home friendly's my initial thoughts on new players usually isn't far out. Green before his injury didn't convince me. This season said James he tried to get past a defender just brushed him aside then he gave up always had my doubts on him since. Agree with you about Holmes been better keeping McGuckin. Hatton I can see something there.

A thought occurred to me watching that ?performance? last night. We offered Holmes a contract based on the trouble he gave us in a pre season game. Everyone thought it was cos he is really good, when we can now see the real reason he destroyed us.

Bit unfair on Holmes imo. He needs consistent game time to show his ability. He was one I would have shipped out pre season to get the game time elsewhere. His run yesterday past 4 Bradford players showed a glimpse of his ability.
None of the youngsters are getting game time which is all on the pressure the management have found/put themselves in..
