Used to get a tattie and bean pie from Duncans un the market, for my dinner most Saturdays. We knew how to live back them. Prototype foodies we were. Possibly washed down with a glass of Bon Accords finest.
Got my ear pierced in the market when I just left school in 89 and ended up with an infected lug and had to go into hospital to get the earring removed. I remember going into A&E and telling the receptionist I had an earring in my ear and as quick as a flash she retorted "that's where you usually wear them".
I think it went downhill in the 90s, after the Bon Accord centre opened.
Fast foward 35 years and the Bon Accord centre is fast turning into to a latter day New Market and could possibly be used in an George Romero type movie too. Could be said about most of the City Centre now sadly.
