    That's the thing OB!

Our own military leaders have been warning for years about the consequences of budget cuts and of ramped up Russian aggression. Any extra time a deal in Ukraine allows should be spent on urgently building up our defence capabilities. I'm sure many other European nations will be thinking the same.

Regardless of whether Americans begin to turn against him if domestic policies fail, Trump will hang on for his remaining term and cannot see him changing his views on Europe so a unified European defence strategy will certainly be needed if Putin is to be dissuaded from further acts of aggression.

What a sad world we live in! We are now closely allied to a country run by criminals. I just hope that the American public wakes up to what they have done by voting these morons into power. Sadly, I do not think that will happen though. I am slowly losing faith that there will ever be any integrity left on the world stage.

The timing of the USA election and Trumps victory was really bad timing for Ukraine and has saved the kremlin.

Russia is on its knees right now, yes, they are very slowly taking ground but their once vast stocks of military equipment and armaments has almost dwindled out. They are sending wounded back to the front line and even using golf buggies, horses and donkeys because of the shortage of armoured vehicles. Their economy is one the verge of collapse and their massive wealth fund has gone. Unrest in the population is growing fast and influential oligarchs are now speaking out.

Ukraine has decimated the massive stocks of the previous USSR equipment and Russia even had to beg Iran and North Korea to help them out.
It’s a shame as many analysis (not the so-called experts who predicted a 3-day capitalisation or that Russia is some invincible force) now believe that providing a new tranche of modern weapons to Ukraine could push the Russians back which would very likely cause the fall of the Kremlin regime.
    Its all about timing.

What a World we live in; I think that the entire World suffers badly from a dearth of good, competent people in political power. I ask myself how could anyone in their right mind vote for such a specimen as Trump? That dreadful man is letting Putin off the hook. Humanity certainly spawns some vile examples of itself. I have three grandchildren and another one imminent, I absolutely dread what the future holds for them. It really must now be a case of ‘eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow………..’; well, fill in the end to that yourselves.

You never know, though, the Baggies might win on Saturday and cheer us all up!
