This is an entirely predictable collapse.

What exactly did we expect with a yes man BT engineer in charge after flogging some of best players and replacing them with crap?

We need immediate change or else the season is already over.

at this point I agree. The questions are how much of our inability to push on has been in SM's hands, whether it's all down to injuries/lack of squad depth. And how much SM's inexperience is to blame for this latest slide. And how much/how quickly he can grow from this. He doesn't appear to be as charismatic leader as LW, and I still wonder why we're losing coaches mid season.

Something has gone badly wrong in the past month or so, and it was obvious in the dramatic drop in our performances even before it started to translate into a decline in results. There's been a lot of talk about players missing and the the standard of the new signings, but for me those are red herrings. Established players we already know to be capable performers have looked way off the pace as well. This is more fundamental and I've got to look in the direction of the coaching. The whole team looks negative, hesitant and quite frankly just badly prepared. The quality in our passing and the tempo of our play has dropped off a cliff. We were lucky to get results against the strugglers Carlisle and Tranmere, and it was only a matter of time before the clear decline would show in results. It's been quite shocking in more ways than one.

It would be nice to know the real reason why the two coaches left but, the fact is, we let Crowley go and have 2 players injured and nobody to replace them. We just haven?t got players who can run with the ball, create and score goals like those three. As the Head Coach may say, we don?t have anyone of their creative calibre in the building. We may have signed some decent players for the future (or not) but we haven?t adequately replaced Crowley or provided sufficient cover for injuries to DM or JJ, both of whom are injury prone.
We need to learn from this. We?ll never get promotion if we fail in the January transfer windows!

If the team that played today, were to make it to the heady heights of mid table in League 2, I would be massively surprised.

The most rattled I've seen SM. He obviously feels so powerless and frustrated.

Over the last 5 or 6 games, possibly not so much the Fleetwood game, the intensity and robustness of the opposition has increased.
Whether this has been within the law or not, we haven't been able to deal with it
Weak refereeing has allowed this to happen, and just like SM has said, there is no protection.
I'm not trying to defend anyone but it is easy to go off on a rant and want this change and that change but the oppositionhave sussed us out and are using tactics that they have in their locker.
We don't seem to have an answer against the high press, and the strong tackle where, yes they get the ball, but they also leave a bit on our players.
Today, I noticed how Tsaroulla would get the ball and beat his man but not before he has had to brush aside a knee left in there.
Teams are hunting in packs and know if they can stop the supply from out wide, then we are less effective.
We end up playing in front of their defence.
