Where the hell did that result come from? Have to admit I gave us virtually no chance tonight. Perhaps the death of Notts County's promotion bid has been exaggerated.

Maybe. If we're going to be in contention to go up, I want to see a team that looks capable of competing at the next level. We haven't looked like that in the past few weeks, but tonight's performance and result is more promising if we can sustain it.

Football, and especially this L2, makes fools out of all of us. Wombles lost and suddenly we're back in the mix. Doesn't paper over any of the cracks, but it does keep us in real contention this season AND it dismisses any rumours SM's lost the faith of the players.

Think it's a confidence thing with Whitaker. He's not a big guy and the step up to men's L2 has been rough for him, but he keeps going. Not 'oven ready' consistently, but bags of potential.

I think this the only consistency you?ll see from most teams this season is inconsistency. We?ve had similar professional away performances this season but this felt massive and obviously getting Didzy back enhanced that feeling. Saturday will be interesting as they won?t sit back, hopefully an entertaining game and with 3 points to boot. If we can JJ back and Austin too tbf we?ll be a lot stronger.

Can't read too much into Cheaterfurlough's result against 10 men Salford so hopefully we can get some home results back on track.
