Us poor sods who actually attend the games and paying by far the highest fee in this league to renew our season tickets, have been conned in to thinking, we were going to make a massive bid to get promoted..On the contrary we have sold our assets and not, as promised, invested in recruiting.I see nothing changing while we have the same faces running this club.

    Renewing a season ticket

On the Millers Mad board, how many are supporters who pay the concession fee for their season ticket.

Pricing for the North stand 2024-25 season in pounds sterling.

    Renewal price ........... 405 ........... New price ........ 445
    Concession price ....... 265 ........... New price ........ 290
    Juvenile price ........... 130 ........... New price ........ 140
    Junior price .............. 110 ........... New price ........ 115

So a big saving for most of MM posters on the board, be it concession price hits in at 60 year old,
where a lot of other clubs concession price hits in at 65 years of age.
So 265 for me, which I am happy to pay, where else can you get entertainment for 11 pounds 50 pence
a game, on 23 games in the season.
Meeting up with family & friends & fellow supporters in the pub before & after a game, plus meeting
fellow fans who have sat round you in the stadium for quite a few years.

Looking at the drival that was published by the club, when selling season tickets.

" A new era is re-dawning at AESSEAL N.Y.S. following the return of popular Miller's boss Steve Evans. "
" The popular gaffer - with back to back promotions, is already hard at work to assemble a squad that
will challenge at the top end of Sky Bet league one. "

Steve Evans is not so popular, after results this season, with bad in-coming transfers , &
the challenge at the top end of league one has not materialized.

Like another point mentioned, if you have a decent seat at NYS, you will want to keep that seat,
I shall renew my season ticket, but I am not happy with the club.

However I fully respect other’s decisions not to go based on what has been dished up this season my place of work has 4 season ticket holders including myself and I am the only one who will be renewing, one is unable to due to medical issues the other 2 have just had enough one of whom says he’s going to see the Titans instead
I don’t know how many season ticket holders we have I think it’s around 6,000 ish if we sell 3,000 we will have done well
This. We are the victims of our own (moderate) success. If folk don't want to go fair enough. We can go back to 3rd tier, 4th tier yo-yoing.

Eric, adult renewal prices at Bolton and Huddersfield were ?250 and Birmingham were less than ?300.Compare that to the ?400 we had to pay is not value for money .Those three clubs have been up there while we have struggled all season.

It costs me At least ?200 to get to a match. Unfortunately Rotherham united only get 20% of that.
People travel from all over the country to watch the Millers and it is getting more expensive. The actual amount spent at clubs isn?t that big compared with the other places people visit. The pubs, parking, fuel, food etc.

If I was still in Rotherham I?d definitely have a season ticket and wouldn?t hesitate for next season or any other.

I guess I will renew although it's not out of any blind loyalty to the club or because I've enjoyed anything that's happened over the last couple of seasons.
It's really just become a habit that I'm too old to break now and the fact that I enjoy meeting up with friends I've known for years on matchdays.
In reality the football part is just a bit of an unfortunate sideshow nowadays.

Something I think the club should be concerned about is its lack of effort to develop continuity of support through younger generations.
I think it's fair to say that a good number of us have taken our kids and/or grandkids to matches but retaining their enthusiasm as they get older and become interested in other things is more difficult.
There is a chap who sits in front of me who has been bringing his grandson for the last 7 seasons. They are both season ticket holders but the boy is now about 13, says he is bored with the football on offer and isn't bothered about coming to the games any more.
The grandad isn't enjoying the football either and says if his grandson doesn't want to go to the games he's not bothered about going on his own so he won't be renewing their season tickets.
I wonder how many more examples there are like this?

Likewise frog, if I lived back in Rotherham, I'd have a season ticket, just like all of those bleak, bleak years in the 80s before I moved away. It's not so much the game, it's the meet up before (dear old Moulders!) and just the chat and laughs whatever the game was like. I think a few of us were there for our lowest ever Milmoor attendance (1.5k wasn't it) and regular attendance was around 3.5k. Still loved going every week, and still do whenever I get to see them now.

    Raging,
It was back then that we were hoping to become a club that produced young players so we could sell them for millions! That was the ticket to success and pride. Buying players and bringing them on to sell for big money. We have finally done that and now we have stopped and only because of the manager now. I never dreamed that we would develop players who would become international players. A World Cup player in amongst them but he was a loan player that changed his fortunes with us.

When I go back now there is usually a few French supporters with me. I am not deluded enough to know that they enjoy the weekend experience in the bars, pubs and chippies than the match itself.
I always try and see as many people as possible and a few of the posters off here.
Brin, gmgm, wrinkly, plus some ex users like Vespabri and chubbyb to name a few. We still talk about the old days at millmoor and folk don?t change that much.

Hopefully we will get back to what TS helped fashion and get back to a system of younger players with potential even if they are nice people.

Non-negotiable for me I'm afraid - call it tradition or loyalty or blind stupidity; I'll renew mine.

I returned from a long spell abroad in 2013 to witness the most enjoyable decade of football as a RUFC supporter. One or two poor seasons won't deter me from buying into the dream of greater things to come. That said, there's a nasty atmosphere around NYS at present and the goodwill that's been built up over the previous 10 years could evaporate very quickly if our current management team don't change their tactical approach and learn some humility and honesty - we were spoiled with Warnie!

I have a 120 mile round trip to attend home games and I consider the match day experience outweighs the inconvenience of the travel. However, I'm so disappointed with spirit around RUFC at present that I'm skipping the Exeter match in favour of a Six Nations day with some mates. So you can deduct at least one from the attendance figure announced at the ground!
